1. When the new FISO website goes live (in the next week or two) moderators will be allowed to approve & edit articles* and links submitted to the new website.
Moderators are wanted (please) for each 'category' on the new website. A 'category' is each the various Fantasy Sports (e.g. Football, Golf, Cricket, NFL etc) and each of the various major FISO Interest Groups (e.g. Golf Society, Harriers, Betting, Poker Society, IT, Music etc) plus there is a category for each of the major Fantasy Sports games (e.g. TFF, FPL, DreamTeam etc). If a moderator wants to volunteer for more than one category then that is fine.
* An 'article' would, for example, be a summary about an existing or new Fantasy Football game or someone's experience of playing a particular fantasy sports game etc etc. (i.e. it would be specific to one of the categories). Articles are not to be used for current football/sports news stories etc, which would remain on the forum.
2. When the forum software is upgraded from phpbb2 to phpbb3 (probably late 2007 per below*) moderators will be allowed to delete/edit posts & lock/move/merge/split/sticky/announce topics.
Moderators are wanted (please) for each forum on FISO. The moderators in 1 above will also be appointed forum moderators for that category's forum. If a moderator wants to volunteer for more than one forum then fine.
* phpbb3 is at the very end of its beta testing stage and my guess is that it will be finally released in about a month's time. We will allow a month or two after that for further bugs to become apparent before uploading onto FISO. phpbb3 will provide much more functionality on the forum (including fine-tuning of moderator powers) as highlighted here:

If anyone would like to become a moderator then please contact me and let me know the category(s)/forum(s) you'd be interested in moderating. Or if you can suggest someone who you think would make a good moderator for a particular forum(s) then please let me know.
Someone who visits FISO nearly every day, who is knowledgeable about the forum/category they moderate and is reasonably sensible
With about 100 forums now in use and approx. 1,000 posts per day it is very difficult for me to keep a close eye on what is happening on every forum so I'm now asking for some help (
