I have wondered if some are planning with their rest day in mind, to be honest I haven't looked to see if anyone has taken major points hits that week, or skipping to roll over for the return week.MoSe wrote:soooo... this GW the Cup admin beat me in FISO H2H div1,
and the 5AS admin beat me in the Cup,
otoh what could I expect with an underaverage score and a GW rank closer to 3M than 2M
Now I'll face here the group co-leader in Pts and leader in OP,
and then FFFix squad rotator says gw7 I'll have my best score in my next 5, on my Rest Day
...I have a "feeling" that I'll find myself 4th in the Group after GW7

Sitting atop DZ Group N with the lowest FPL OP in the group , with 3p lead over chasers, who'll play each other this GW while I rest, hoping they draw!
I've been lucky with H2H fixtures, now if I get 1 win in my remaining 3 fixtures after the rest, 15p should grant at least a tied runner-up spot, then it's up to OP
I figure the situation will be much clearer after this weekend

Frustrating week - second highest score and lose by 1 pt, difference between being top of my group and 4th. Thanks for nothing, Mr Holebas.
2 points separating the top 5 is pretty ridiculous.

Group K is just wierd. Fuzzy who has the lowest FPL score is top whilst Gingafalcao who has the highest score is 5th. Head-to-Head leagues are fun.

Thanks Romyn
Now you just need to outscore Geoffv by 62p next gw and you'd secure ru spot (with such a huge score you'd beat me regardless I register a good one too )
Sorry Geoff, we topped Championship in Divisionals, climbing to PL, while Romyn dropped from it
Cup links us 3 again, but different game, different dynamics
______
As for SL playoffs, I'd need to outscore Canary by 27p next GW (while not conceding more than 20p to the one who'll top Gr.M, topspur or SE) or I'd have to pass thru preliminary
Otoh I'd never have thought to qualify fo anything, so whatever comes will be a boon

What's clearly stated, but maybe not immediately evident wihout a bit of reflection, is:Tacalabala wrote:All group winners qualify, there are various other spots for the runners up, see the OP for details.snakzz wrote:Are there only one qualifier from each group?
"best FPL points scoring runners-up"
that is, to rank runner-ups, your performance in these Cup Qualification Groups is irrelevant.
I mean, for instance, should RW get 2nd in Gr.A with 19p and 465 op, and TP 2nd in Gr.B with 18p and 501 op,
then TP would be ahead RW on op, regardless he got 18p vs 19p in Qualifications (in different groups, unfair to compare)
FPL OP is straightforward and simple to lookup, no frills, no clauses
Worth noting thus, in groups of 5 if you're up for a runnerup spot, your GW10 performance is relevant towards your OP even if you have a Rest Day in the Cup
(see topspur in Gr.M [if SE wins], Geoffv in Gr.N, owenclass in Gr.Q)
Or in the Spring League qualification to determine who's the best winner in the two "L-M-N" and "O-P-Q" super-pools
