Another former Champion falls
while V1.0 pulled himself out of the relegation mires
The Dazzler, B2B R2&3 Champion, fought with tenpinterry to beat the drop
tpt scored 2 net Pts more in the GW, leaprogging TD for the last safe berth
TD, who's otherwise excellently ranked both Overall and in the FISO League, earned a respectable 56p too for the GW... but his Vardy punt didn't pay out, returning a plain 2p for the -4 hit he took -- indeed the same net -2p which costed him relegation from PL
Championship
our headmod Vid pulled all the stops with his 6 transfers for the GW, taking 4 hits for a net -16p
for his consolation, he's -17p behind the last promotion spot
even cherrypicking in hindsight the only 2 Tx out of 6 which paid off, the other 4 only yielded 1p, so his net result is -15p with those 4...
of course that's just hindsight, but had he accepted to play with 10 men to avoid taking hits, Walters would have come up from his bench with 5p...
that would be venturing too much in the "what if" territory tho -- he had the "fur" balls to take a big risk, which didn't pay out
all the better for Mashed Potatoes who earned his promotion with a neat 64p in the GW
League One
you saw above the intermediate report of the sunday scores
in the end, the outcome is cruel again for mld, who had indeed overtaken another Former Champion (BW) trying to get up again
But RTT managed to pip both at the post letting them dry, with the joint Divisionals top score in the GW at 68p (top 12k in the GW, and ~3.5k Overall rank!)
it becomes a former Champion (in Season 6) who joined late in round 3 this season and has now a shot in last Round to earn a PL start next Season
- At the bottom, the mover of the GW is topcat, who managed to escape relegation.
Paying the price is Tacalabala, who had other 4 teams behind him beginning the GW, most of which took hits too
Not to rub salt...
Taca's hits not only didn't pay off, but he even spent -8p to move out Eriksen and Heaton who'd have brought him 20p together
In all that, he the same ended level with Blaze, who survived the drop tho prevailing 3-2 on H2H tiebreaker
League Two
top two GW scorers in the Division are andybarrel and SE, rushing for good in promotion zone which both had only briefly visited previously
it escapes again from the hands of stripes, at his first serious attempt of the season, having been in top 4 most of the round
he finihes level with womble in 5th place
3 of the 4 promoted teams had fallen to bottom divison in previous 2 rounds, they manage thus to get up again
it's a first instead for Foxx
all 4 promoted up from League One had started the seasion from League Two, they're thus at their 2nd leap, with no setback
each had come up here in a different round
Taff Murray is the only "Restless Leg" remaining, having Vid & MvL finally taken 1 rd rest in the division they are
Taff instead after a yoyo in first 2 rounds, completes a freefall tumbling from top to bottom in 3 consecutive rounds
(the same woody did earlier)
It's the 1st fall for Isalla who had managed so far in 4 rounds to hover just above the drop -- last 2 horrible GW condemned him, who had even started the round atop the division
Multiple Scorgasms and WHATEVER leave their starting division for the first time too, unfortunately for the latter it's in the wrong direction
