Transfer Deadline Day chatter/deals
Just to try and keep the forum as usable as possible can we try to limit any deadline day chatter/rumours/unconfirmed deals/speculation/thoughts on transfers to this dedicated thread.
Hopefully this will pre-emptively avoid the usual bombardment of new threads being made based on individual rumoured moves or older threads being cluttered with speculation.
Cheers.
So, Doumbia, eh? Wowzers.

Pep to City at the end of the season. Could attract some new players to the league.

Bit of a surprise that's been announced tbh, albeit through Pellegrini saying he's off at the end of the season first, not usually done that way with managers.Terry Henry wrote:Pep to City at the end of the season. Could attract some new players to the league.

Guess they have to liven this Transfer Deadline Day up with something as there's bigger all happening so far.Moist von Lipwig wrote:Bit of a surprise that's been announced tbh, albeit through Pellegrini saying he's off at the end of the season first, not usually done that way with managers.Terry Henry wrote:Pep to City at the end of the season. Re: Transfer Deadline Day chatter/deals
As a Newcastle fan i'm very interested in potentially getting Doumbia into my Fantasy side depending how he hits the ground running. We've been creating a lot of chances recently just haven't had that 'finisher' up top to put the ball in the net.
With Wijnaldum, Sissoko and the arrivals of Townsend + Shelvey, he's certainly one to watch!

Not heard of him, but sounds like he could be an interesting player if priced nicely.swadd1er wrote:As a Newcastle fan i'm very interested in potentially getting Doumbia into my Fantasy side depending how he hits the ground running. Re: Transfer Deadline Day chatter/deals
To illustrate just how uneventful these day's actually are in reality... the last two TDD's have largely been dominated by the will he / won't he transfer of a fairly average West Brom striker who now isn't even in their first team.Terry Henry wrote:Guess they have to liven this Transfer Deadline Day up with something as there's bigger all happening so far.Moist von Lipwig wrote:Bit of a surprise that's been announced tbh, albeit through Pellegrini saying he's off at the end of the season first, not usually done that way with managers.Terry Henry wrote:Pep to City at the end of the season. No offence to supporters of the clubs concerned, but who gives a crap?

Re: Transfer Deadline Day chatter/deals
The most exciting 2 stories (Terry and Guardiola) have had nothing to do with deadline day.
Biggest deals were Jonjo Shelvey and Townsend. zzzzzzz

Re: Transfer Deadline Day chatter/deals
Worst kept secret in football and a nettle that needed to be grasped. Given the situation, it's been handled with as much dignity as possible by all concerned. MP is a proper gent and I'd like him to stay on in the City family in some capacity. If not, good luck to him. Even if he does go to a rival in the PL.Moist von Lipwig wrote:Bit of a surprise that's been announced tbh, albeit through Pellegrini saying he's off at the end of the season first, not usually done that way with managers.Terry Henry wrote:Pep to City at the end of the season. Timing it on TDD may be coincidental... unless it's been done to convince a major signing to close the deal today? Is there a chauffeur waiting at the exit gates at Manchester airport with a sign for a Mr. L Messi?

So according to a Guardian writer, McCarthy is being loaned to Fulham for 3 months and Rob Green might be going to Palace. Anyone fancy a punt on Rob Green?

Hold the back page!
Clyde have just signed a defender on loan from Hamilton.
...and not just any loan but a "Development Loan".
Worth a kipper yellow tie that one.

Remy at Leicester City would have been a nice transfer in fpl terms. Sky saying it's not happening at the moment though.
