Re: DGW 19 Transfer Thread
McCarthy to Johnstone maybe. Otherwise saving a transfer is not a bad option. I wouldn't lose Furlong over banking a transfer, he's quite attacking - although he'd probably average about 3-4 points!

McCarthy (lei) Raphinha Bamford (BHA) Furlong (wol, wha)
Not sure what I’d do with free transfer either wouldn’t want to lose Leeds as they have a nice run and might have a double coming up. Would happily lose Kane but can’t really see a great option to outscore this week and long term. Probably should lose furlong even with the double a West Brom defender seems folly .
What about Raphina -> Gundogan (or Foden if you can afford it) to take advantage of Man City DGW now that Leeds don't have one. That's something I'm considering.

Unlikely, no easy route without a big re-structure (and I've only just wildcarded) so will be hiding behind the sofa when he plays!MartyBhoy7 wrote: ↑14 Jan 2021, 11:58Are you not getting Salah in?Notned wrote: ↑14 Jan 2021, 11:41 With Newcastle now having a double, I may just leave Wilson and look to shift Saka or Holding to a doubler instead. Open to suggestions at similar price points, but thinking along the lines of Dawson or a very left field Wijnaldum.
Will definitely be BB either way. Despite all the uncertainty with postponements/covid etc, a potential 13 doublers plus Kane and an Arsenal bod looks too good an opportunity to pass up.
I think Wilson is a must keep for the double even with Newcastle looking poor.

going to play my wildcard early again. playing in gwk3 has made a huge difference for me. need to get de bruyne in and clear out 4 defenders and an injured striker so can't think of a better time to play it. de bruyne chilwell cancelo dias cresswelll all to come in. will probably leave son in and not be tempted by rashford

Re: DGW 19 Transfer Thread
Almost exactly in the same position with Raphinha instead of Bamford. Kdb would require taking out Kane (Antonio) and Maddison. McCarthy -> Martinez, Justin -> Stones, Kane -> Vardy are other alternatives.eastcentral1 wrote: ↑14 Jan 2021, 11:45 Bit of a mess all these rearrangements. Leeds losing the DGW hurts the BB strategy, but they still have a good fixture that is definitely worth BB. The real issue for me is what to do about my lack of KdB. The choice is basically whether to bring in KdB (by sacrificing Kane or Salah), or to skip out on KdB altogether. Another advantage of the second option is that I can concentrate on improving my bench and play a pretty decent BB e.g. McCarthy, Bamford, Dallas, Justin.

Not sure about Justin -> Stones, the former is also a very good option. Been posting good numbers and has decent fixtures after the double, Pereira still a while away too.

I jumped ship far too early on Justin. But be careful on Pereira ... he is in contention.Nailer6245 wrote: ↑14 Jan 2021, 17:58 Not sure about Justin -> Stones, the former is also a very good option. Been posting good numbers and has decent fixtures after the double, Pereira still a while away too.

Ha. Probably. I think I’m comfortable with my 9 doublers and Son+Kane for this GW, and then reasonable fixtures for my starting XI for a few weeks.
My thinking with getting Watkins out was mainly that Villa’s fixtures just seem massively at risk at the moment...

Now considering taking a -4 hit but as yet unsure between Soucek and Vardy for Adams and Son or possibly Antonio and Vardy for Kane and Adams.

Re: DGW 19 Transfer Thread
Wilson or Antonio for DCL?
That’s the big question. Wilson can’t score in a brothel but gets 90 mins and will bag eventually, Antonio still getting match fit but explosive points scorer on his day.

Already thinking Kane/Balbuena/Kilman for a -8. Is it worth another -4 to swap out Forster to bring BB back into play with Anguissa/Klich/KWP on bench or even stick at -8 and BB anyway?

Current squad
McCarthy/Pope
Robertson/Justin/coufal/Dallas/Taylor
Salah/Bruno/son/saka/soucek
Vardy/bamford/Adams
My current bench is McCarthy (single, flagged), Taylor (double, flagged), Saka (single), Adams (single, flagged)
I'm thinking of abandoning the bench boost and rolling the transfer.

Guaita to either Johnstone or Areola, leaning towards the latter.

Re: DGW 19 Transfer Thread
Tierney random injury is annoying, looks like he is having a scan tomorrow so can’t risk that on bench boost. Will likely do Tierney Robertson for a -4 rather than Saka to Grealish. Seems a safer move.Highlander12 wrote: ↑14 Jan 2021, 11:42Now the Villa double is confirmedHighlander12 wrote: ↑14 Jan 2021, 09:49 Son/Kane Salah/Antonio for a -4
I wildcarded this week with idea to BB in 19, have no value tied up in Son/Kane, they were just picks for this week. May also add a -4 for Dier Robertson or Saka Grealish (if Villa get a double).
Will have 11/12 doublers with a BB of Martinez, Bamford, Tierney, Saka (or Dier).
Son/Saka/Kane Grealish/Salah/Antonio -8 looks very tempting
