My first signing of 2021, and really, it had to be a Leeds player. 8-)

I worry he has which leaves my bench an absolute state:

Burke, Lewis, Johnson (Podence now a starter)

My own fault for getting Salah in without losing Vardy and Kane.

I'd like to roll this week so might just risk it and hope no games are cancelled and no subs required.

yeah I'm really not sure what to do. I have Taylor, Lewis, and Mitchell. And Forster as my 2nd keeper. 2 FTs so I could try and sort my defence by doing Taylor to Holding and Lewis to Pieters. Is that to risky? is Struijk a starter now? if so he seems a bargain

The bold sentence is probably the thinking that got you in a pickle in the first place (Mitchell especially). Don't make the same mistake again.

So now that I've decided to FH in GW18 my 2 FTs are:

Grealish to Barnes
Taylor to Dallas

Is the Burney game def on?

2FTs too. I think I'll just hope Wood plays this weekend and get rid of CTaylor and Lamptey for Cancelo and Dias. May end up with 10 this week if all things go against me.

With news that city have 5 players unavailable for Sunday is cancelo to Tierney a wise choice? Could still field 11 for gw 18 that way

I can't see your team, but I'd in 99 out of 100 instances not do that.

I'd do the triple with Wood :arrow: Watkins added.

carver wrote: 29 Dec 2020, 21:54 Have 2 FT . Setting up for bench boost gw19.

Am using free hit gw18 so have to use the 2 free this week or I’d lose one.

Cancelo -> Pieters (assuming taylor out for DGW )
To fund (riedewald -> soucek)
And then in gw19
Forster -> meslier
Didn’t do this . cancelo now has DGW so wouldn’t take out.

Might be a bit stupid but leaning towards .
Forster -> areola
Riedewald-> lookman

2 Fulham players and their game this week might be postponed (I think it might go ahead though otherwise why not postpone it already). But can’t see any other cheap keeper with a dgw that would be likely to score more than McCarthy vs Liv this week .
Of course these Fulham players might be the ones with covid but it’s really the dgw I’m bringing in for which is over 2 weeks away .
Can’t afford soucek doing it this way. Think lookman is decent enough though instead .

I def won't be doing that this week. Maybe in GW19 itself if I BB. The plan is to BB but I don't want to tie myself to it already for a -4.

Need a bit of help. My defence is:

Robbo Cancelo Dias Taylor Ferguson.

Have used up my FTs. Should I take a hit to cover one of the ManCs (because of Covid and because Pep in general) and if so, which 4.5-5 def? No DGW preference but BGW 18 def slightly preferred. Presently on Saiss

Fair enough. I assumed that with two City assets in this week it would be to BB given their uncertainty this week.

I can still get away with not BB as I have Cjones and Welbeck and who knows what will happen in 2 weeks! I've had to clear Jesus, RJames recently so not got round to clearing out any other dross! It is very likely to be BB but then I don't think Wood is a bad player to own for now.

Would it be an idea to throw out one of those instead of adding a second City player this GW? How certain are you of those starting this GW(and all games forward?)? Welbeck :arrow: Watkins perhaps? (Though I must admit I haven't checked Brighton news lately)

Started off 2021 with a thrilling transfer: Taylor -> Lowton.
Keeping Cancelo and starting him. I’m just hoping I can get three defenders out - I couldn’t last week...

Taylor & Torres :arrow: Holding & Barnes for a -4.

1 week after playing my WC and with (at the moment) a playing bench - but I don't think it's a good idea to carry known doubts at the moment and playing defs against TOT & LIV wouldn't be ideal so a -4 isn't the worst thing in the world.

Lamptey :arrow: Phillips, for him to sit on the bench!

I do have the same concerns but CTaylor and Lamptey are bigger concerns as they def don't play. I'm pretty certain Dias starts and Cancelo isn't for this week, in particular - I'll have Coufal and Dallas on the bench. The other option was CJones to Soucek but that rules out me going for GW18 without burning the FH/ Basically I wanted to keep all options open as long as possible. I don't get the clamour for Watkins for the next two games...??

Dunne > Justin

Puts a bit more money into defence than I’d like, but just feels like squad depth is key right now... And helps with the DGW...

As an Everton fan told everyone Godfrey was the only nailed on defensive starter so the best pick. What did I do with my advice? I picked up Keane who was promptly rested for the first time this season!

Head in hands! Changed defender twice in a week and might do the same again! Though expect him to be back next game

I’d more say it is the next 8 games(+ an extra unknown game) and being a 90mins guy which very few are. That of course combined with the Villa looking like value picks.

Yes he's on my radar after the next two but I won't take a hit for Man U then Spurs unless I only had x on the pitch.

Missed deadline, so it was an unplanned roll over for me. Not necessarily the worst thing given my recent transfer history.
