Aren't prem games usually called off for fan safety concerns rather than the state of the pitch these days? With no fans in most areas does that not make it less of a concern.

That said C and VC in different games is a good thing to do this year anyway.

Snowing on Mt Oxford this afternoon, the water at Woodend beach was still warm enough for a surf though.

We had 4 separate official Met Office weather warnings running through the night in my neck of the woods which I thought was quite an achievement.

The ones for rain and wind have officially ended now so I might go out for a run in a bit. Just snow and ice to worry about apparently.

What do they know.... looking out of the window there hasn't even been a frost and it just looks damp. No more snow on the mountains than there was yesterday.

We had triple warnings as well, few floods and trees down that's all

Could be icy tomorrow for the Everton City game

Not a chance, the Etihad has top of the range drainage.

If there was crowds in the ground then maybe its would be for travel reasons and crowd safety but otherwise not a chance is this game off

I think it's a very slim chance, it's happened before for waterlogged pitches but yeah it's a long shot

Anyone getting flooded this week?

Here is a photo of my dog Faye exploring the raging torrent of a beck (AKA river) near us this afternoon.

Firet time I've seen it completely dried up, even kept running through the big drought 2 or 3 years back.Image

Nice looking dog. Nothing to do weather or football although my lab loved chasing one. She died from hepatitis and cirrhosis, build up of copper in the liver from dried dog food. Just a warning.

As we're on warnings for pets, don't feed older male cats biscuits. Just wet food - they have a habit of not drinking enough water anyway, bringing on serious complications.

As for footballs, no he did not like them.

No sign of flooding here in Worcestershire either.

Yeah, same in the south Midlands…

Just had an “on this day” photo pop up on one of my devices, of my parents’ house covered in snow, apparently during the 2012 London Olympics. The GB medal avalanche must have made me totally forget about that unseasonal blast ;)

Could be some City type of flash floods due to blocked drains etc...

Obviously no cricket on, so put WIndies match on. Oh yes it's raining in Barbados too 🤣😂🤣🤣
