Currently on,

McCarthy / Button
Taylor / KWP / B.Johnson / Chilwell / Justin
Grealish / Fernandes / Salah / Son / Soucek
DCL / Kane / Bamford

Looking at Johnstone, Vardy as possible incoming.
Problem I have is with player value. Son, Grealish and DCL will all cost me .4 if hopping off and on...

Grealish has three tough fixtures but then levels out again. Son and Kane have SHU in 19 in which they could easily out score a doubler. DCL probably the least painful to move on based on fixtures.

Looking at...
Button > Johnstone
Grealish > Reed
DCL > Vardy

Leaves
McCarthy / Johnstone
Taylor / KWP / B.Johnson / Chilwell / Justin
Reed / Fernandes / Salah / Son / Soucek
Vardy / Kane / Bamford

Leaves 13 for GW19...

Speaking of 3.9 defence options, is Struijk now in the mix? Liam Cooper out with an abdominal injury, I can't see anything on an expected return date.

Currently on:

Mccarthy, Johnstone
Robertson, James, Balbuena, Taylor, Struijk
Salah, Fernandes, Mount, JWP, Soucek
Martial, Bamford, Kane

Plan is to bring in Vardy for Kane for the GW19 BB which would free up 0.6 and could replace Struijk if required.

Other options in my thoughts at the moment are a Leicester defender, downgrading JWP to either Armstrong or THEO WALCOTT!!!!!!!!

Is it madness to consider Johnson and Struijk? Might open a few doors further up the pitch. I'd expect them to be warming the bench most weeks as playing three at the back anyway.

Moyes after the game - “Ben took his goal well. Everyone knows he is a right-back but he has played as a left-back, so I thought while Arthur is out we need to find a solution and we thought this game might be the ideal situation."

I can do Johnson, Zouma  Thiago Silva and Balbuena instead though.

West Ham seems to be in the market for a left back, so you might only get a few games out of Johnson, if any during their double.

Cooper and Llorente look like they'll be back before the DGW.

The possible Vardy bending has caused another rethink:

McCarthy / Johnstone
Robertson / Justin / Dallas / KWP / Taylor
Salah / Fernandes / Son / Soucek / Anguissa
Kane / Bamford / Wood

Planning Kane and Son  Vardy and Rashford for the double.

Similar team to Fuzz's above except I have

Coufal (in place of Robertson)
Vardy (in place of Kane)

The Anguissa spot is the only one I haven't filled yet - got 6.9m to spend and am looking at Barnes or Mount ... maybe?

How do Leicester line-up if Vardy is rested?

I've basically decided on Rashford + Vardy for those last two tricky slots alongside the template that seems to be forming around Salah, Bruno etc, but frustrating that there's a doubt over both of them. Vardy seems certain to have a rest in one of the next two, and Rashford has that shoulder injury. It's leaving me tempted to keep Kane & Son, with one going in GW17 and one in GW19. Risky though, leaving no spare transfers, and means I can't roll a FT to come out of DGW19. Draft as it stands:

McCarthy / Johnstone
Robertson / Dias / Justin / Coufal / Taylor
Salah / Bruno / Son / Soucek / Raphinha
Kane / Bamford / Rodrigo

Also unsure on defenders: set on Robbo, Justin and Coufal for various reasons, but the last two slots have so many options. Balbuena tempting for a bench boost, but like the fact that Taylor can play two nice games before the double. Dias kind of in there planning for afterwards, but could leave him out too.

Rashford's "injury" isn't much of a problem when you think about it logically. Remember that the FT going into GW17 is being burned by most WC16 teams unless a pressing injury emerges, so if Rashford is injured it means that transfer can be used to switch to Son (LEE, shu), just be sure to leave 0.2m itb.

Iheanacho up front in all likelihood.

Let's hope to avoid an exploding zeppelin this time

Also been tinkering based on a rest for Vardy seemingly on the cards

Now on,

McCarthy / Johnstone
Taylor / KWP / B.Johnson / Chilwell / Justin
Maddison / Fernandes / Salah / Son / Soucek
Abraham / Kane / Bamford

Maddison as a replacement for Vardy and looking at Chelsea fixtures if Tammy can have a run in the team could show some old form.

If we are aiming for a BB IN GW19 we should have a strong enough bench for the next 2 gameweeks (if that is when a rest may occur?)

Binned the idea of Barnes or Mount and am instead taking a punt on Torres for the week.

edit: He's replacing Foden so it's obvious what will happen

This is true.
If I worked on that basis, and assuming Vardy get the rest today then it comes down to

Maddison & Abraham Vs Soucek & KWP

So can either rely on the bench or plan for a couple of transfers to bring Vardy in later.
I assume playing free hit chip will top me accumulating a free transfer?

Vardy-less now with:

McCarthy, Johnstone
Robertson, Dias, Justin, Dallas, Coufal
Salah, Bruno, Maddison, Raphinha, Soucek
Adams, Kane, Bamford

Split on Justin now. Balbuena has better GW19 fixtures, but I need a defender for GW17 as well. Would've been a good week to play the AOA chip.

"The England striker completed the match and while Solskjaer expects him to be fine, he is far from certain. ‘Yeah, he felt his shoulder a bit. United have one of the longest rests during this period as well. I'd be very surprised if Rashford doesn't start vs Wolves.

My current team is

Meslier Johnstone
Zouma Cancelo Justin Bednerek Balbuena
Salah Fernandes Rashford Raphinha Soucek
Kane Bamford Wood

Meslier and Justin are the two positions I'm mulling over atm.

Why not get in a Burnley defender?

Would play in GW17, but the double isn't very attractive

Salah Fernandes Rashford Raphinha Soucek
Kane Bamford Wood

Decided to go with Pope for the next two and switch to Meslier for the double. Hopefully we all get lucky with our WC!

Made a last minute change of Taylor in for Balbuena as fifth defender, but couldnt decided what defender to drop so he's stupidly on the bench. At home. To Sheffield United. :|

Robertson, Dias and Justin playing...

What you think Are The best for DGW

Mané + Antonio
Or
Rashford + Firmino

Needs to do transfer for GW 17 so that also involves GW games
United vs Villa
Liverpool vs Southampton
West Ham vs Everton (if Antonio plays)

Should i go for that maybe Rashford and Firmino will play more minutes togeher?

Neither look particularly appealing but I'd rather go Rashford and Bobby than an injured Antonio who'll lack match fitness.

I’m pleased I got rid of my three Man City players (and have no Chelsea/Everton coverage). Imagine most of the WC16 will be in a similar boat.
