Villa’s fixture run from GW6 until GW11 is very enticing from an attacking point of view and I can certainly see myself owning Barkley at that time.Richt wrote:And there's options in that price bracket.Pirlo's Beard wrote: ↑30 Sep 2020, 12:05Honestly can't get excited about Ross Barkley anymore. Just seen it on BBC website.

Geez, how is he still only 26?
I remember when he was spoken about as the future of the English football.

'I remember on one of the football shows, several years back, Brian Woolnough saying that there was a boy from Everton coming through, who was going to be a bigger star than Wayne Rooney. It was Ross Barkley he was referring to. It hasn’t really happened has it'.
If he starts well, you never know ...

Yes, took a minute to get it.
Haven't seen him on TV for a long time.
Not sure if he's on Sky these days or demoted to the tabloids.
KODI is great now that all matches are on English TV so there are lots if streams, and they are nicely spread out.
One of the plus's of lockdown.

OK, let’s talk. You first
Barkley must be hurting. It’s one of the best in his position that has just let him go. This time last year we thought that'd be reason to have Barkley in our teams.
Or maybe, more accurately, this time last year we looked again and realised that Frank spells Barkley, M.O.U.N.T.

Brewster deal close to being confirmed!
Rhian Brewster will sign for Sheffield United today. £23.5m and a buy-back guaranteed for three years. Liverpool also have a 15pc sell-on (Paul Joyce)
Pretty much 100% that he will sign.

Biggest no-brainer of all no-brainers there has ever been. Presumably he'll soon be "owned" by 30%+ of managers.Multiple Scorgasms wrote:Def worth bringing in if only to make a profit.

Should get games so can come in as a starting 11. Means I can get TAA in (although will need to tweak elsewhere as Wilson dropped )Richt wrote:Biggest no-brainer of all no-brainers there has ever been. Re: Transfer news 20/21 season
He’s currently showing at -58.1% on FPLS and with Ars / Liv / ManC and Chelsea in the next five fixtures there’s no rush to buy.
Plus it’s the “new” 20/21 version of Sheff Utd.....yet to score this season.
Mind you, on the face if it, it doesn’t seem to be positive news for those holding Burke.....

Wilder’s comments on BBC Sport.....
Here are Chris Wilder's full comments on Rhian Brewster, with a deal agreed with Liverpool for the striker.
"I can't confirm that it's all been done but we have been in negotiations with Liverpool for a while and he has been on our radar for a while and discussions between the player and the club are still ongoing," he said.
"There's nothing to announce at this minute but we are down the line.
"Obviously when it happens I can confirm that but as we are at this particular time we are not over the line. I don't think you can guarantee anything until it gets over the line.
"We are always trying to bring better players into the football club and ones that can improve the group, and it is an area we need to improve, and that's not being disrespectful to the strikers we already have here, we need competition in the group.
"We need different options for different games. I've said consistently that we need to bring someone in and we have worked hard to identify players. Bringing better players into the group will improve us and help bring us better results."

Takes a LIV spot though ...with Salah, Trent and Robbo who I am trying to commit to as season long picks, not sure I can accommodate him.

Shaqiri, Brewster, Grujic, Origi and Wilson could all still be sold/loaned.

Re: Transfer news 20/21 season
Surely SHU would prefer Origi?
Seriously though: Origi has had enough chances and 1 goal apart hasn't impressed in the least?
As per the MU Thread, it seems that bring able to shift\sell players isn't far behind buying the right ones?

Re: Transfer news 20/21 season
Origi works hard and knows how to play the Liverpool way but, alas, hasn't really turned out to be as good as hoped.
Klopp knows this and would take the right bid I think.
Origi might (just) be a better player for Sheff U today but I'd definitely instead take Brewster for his potential.
Jota, Minamino and maybe Ox seem to be Klopp's favourite forward reserves with Elliot coming through.
Brewster is highly rated hence the insistence on a buyback clause. Origi and Shaqiri wouldn't have those!
