He is City's main man at the moment, but if he plays 90 again tonight, I'd be worried about how many minutes he'd get in the double.

Lots of love for Jimenez I see. Be aware that Wolves have been poor against bottom of the table opposition this season, for example Huddersfield did the double over us. We are more likely to do well against Arsenal than Brighton.

It would be a quite typical FPL moment if Brighton ship 7 against Bournemouth and Cardiff at home and then turn up against Wolves. Bournemouth were carving through them like it was a training session.

Son scores two at the Etihad today. Plays against City and a brilliant Brighton defence in the DGW. Suspended for the first CL tie against Ajax.

Tempted by Son, can lightning strike twice? And then home against Brighton. If Cardiff and Bournemouth can put 7 between them past Brighton what can spurs do?

That's a good shout regarding the suspension. He won't leave my team now until at least after the West Ham game. There is a strong argument that he is less likely to be rotated than City assets as well, because he had his rest already when they played Hud last weekend.
But.....
Sorely tempted by this. He is on fire and they will be gunning for revenge. Surely no need to rotate now they are out of the CL. They have to win every game in the league......You would think Pep can now just play his absolute best team every match.

I think it's just a question about which one is likely to play more minutes, Aguero or Sterling. I think they are equal picks when they play.

Re: GW 35 Captain
Sterling doesn't look tired at all even though he plays 90 min every 3 days, crazy really but hes not shown any signs of slowing down. I'd say Aguero is MORE likely to be rotated through age ans suitable replacements but honestly I don't think any of them will be, especially this double game week. Every time I've captained Sterling this season or last hes done nothing though. TC him last season for the DGW and got 3 points first game and 1 point the next. TC him this season and he got 3 points and didn't play the second. Aguero the safer option but Sterling could get the rewards IMO.

I'd say Jesus not coming on last night when they were chasing a final goal shows he's not trusted right now...Pep only made 2 subs and even then the second one (Sane) only came 10 minutes after Spurs goal. I'd say Pep doesnt trust any of his subs really so there is a good chance that Sterling / Aguero will both start both games

Re: GW 35 Captain
It's a punt, but for now I'm on;
Sterling (TC), Aguero (V)
Playing in such a gruelling match last night and having to play that same team again less than 72 hours later means that truly anyone is at risk of rotation and even if not, there's a fair chance both teams will be playing with very tired legs, but with the form he's in and how important he is to their team, I'm just hoping that Pep simply can't afford to rest Sterling.

Re: GW 35 Captain
He doesn't utilise Sane as much as he maybe should but its because hes not trusted to keep control of the ball and execute their plans, as a result of this Sane is playing less important games and wont agree a new contract.dagamo0 wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 11:36 I'd say Jesus not coming on last night when they were chasing a final goal shows he's not trusted right now...Pep only made 2 subs and even then the second one (Sane) only came 10 minutes after Spurs goal. I think if Liverpool weren't on our tails hed get more minutes but right now he cant afford to rest anyone and risk points slipping. Once Aguero and Sterling are through this DGW they will have a weeks rest every game and wont need resting either. Honestly cant see any of them getting rested, maybe an Aguero sub for Jesus later in the game at most but Sterling is just too crucial.

Re: GW 35 Captain
I believe he started one last season and came on in the next and this season was started 1 and benched for the other. The season before I don't think he was worth looking at for FPL so I cant remember. Either way, there was normally uncertainty about that due to other games/fitness etc. These are 2 huge games, he's arguably our most important player right now, he doesn't look tired & We are out of the CL I think he's got to start both.

Re: GW 35 Captain
i think in GW26 or whenever City had that early DGW this season he started the first game against Arsenal (?) and came off the bench for like 20-30 minutes in the second one against Everton

Re: GW 35 Captain
+1, Raheem has more points, more PPG, more minutes, lower ownership, lower price and better form than Augero........Bixer wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 11:49 It's a punt, but for now I'm on;

Originally voted for Aguero but genuinely thinking Sterling is the best pick now. Aguero has been quiet for a while, no way Sterling doesn’t start in my opinion.
Tough call for me, I’m not chasing so want to make the safest pick, but doesn’t feel like there is one.

^ voted Son but have now taken a hit to bring in Jimenez (knee jerk for Murray ) and captain him.
Not sure what the masses will pick but whatever FFS pouting is promoting will give a safe-ish pick.

Re: GW 35 Captain
Safe certainly isn't a City player. Going out to Spurs was a disgrace or a major upset imho. They will react in one of 2 ways and I'm erring on the side of it not being too good. My knee jerk reaction to them going out ie in the first half was to bring in Mendy and Kun to join Sterling, but I doubt thst I will until after their matches this GW.
