FISO 'Chips' League (GW 31-38)
So, I've created a mini league for the run in of the season as all the blanks and DGWs appear.
Like many I still have all four chips remaining so it'll be interesting to see how we all do and which strategies work better.
There was one done in the 15-16 season - viewtopic.php?f=18&t=120421
The scoring will start from GW 31 as thats when the first blank will appear, and when most people will start using their chips.
If anyones interested;
9138-1367903
(If anyone has better idea for a name for the league feel free to share)

Re: FISO 'Chips' League (GW 31-38)
i only have the FH and BB left so if that is interesting to anyone as a comparison on how those fare that only have 2 chips left, I will join, im not regretting my wildcard in GW 23 because it gained me 99K places that GW and 269K until now. no way would i expect to improve that many places using my chips now or at same time as almost eveyone else.

Just in case anyone looks back at the old Wildcard Strategy League thread and wonders... there was no Free Hit chip in those days. The Real Slim Shady wrote: ↑09 Mar 2019, 04:34 There was one done in the 15-16 season - viewtopic.php?f=18&t=120421

Re: FISO 'Chips' League (GW 31-38)
Good work @therealslimshady relaunching @mrclarinet's idea for 2019
I've taken a -4 this week, and assuming I get no injuries or suspensions this week, with next weeks free transfer I plan to:
11 out in 31 no hits
FH in 32
11 in 33 no hits, hopefully
WC in 34
BB in 35
TC somewhere else, maybe in the 36/37 if we get another double game week, but Brighton don't appeal at the moment, so may use it on a gw38 golden boot chaser.

Thanks mate. I'm in (THAT'S NUMBERWANG!!!)
I've actually employed a slightly different tactic than has been discussed which is to play my WC this week (GW30) and then navigate through weeks 31-35 with my FH & FT's so I suppose you could say that the scoring for this particular tactic starts in GW30.

FH31 then a bit fluid still. Probably WC34 - TC35 - BB36/37.

Cheers, Marshall!
Still have WC, BB and FH left and no clue, but not planning to use these in the next three GWs.

Heading towards 10 for GW31 (no hits) - FH32 - WC34 - BB35 - TC36/37.
But could also change tact and go FH31 and 10 for TC32 (with one hit)...

Re: FISO 'Chips' League (GW 31-38)
Brought in Kepa this week so I am still on the fence for the strategy from here. I have 9 players with a fixture in GW31 (so 10 with a free tx and 11 with a -4) I really want to TC Aguero/Sterling in GW32 so might risk 31 and FH33 instead. Bit of a differential too.

Im am in ( Dupuytren's) Someone has to come last and hold the league up so is there a wooden spoon award
GW31 10 playing, ( only if I take a -4 to cover Steve Cook who is out for a few more weeks). Salah captain subject to coming through this week unscaithed.
GW32 TC is my only chip to play so probably this week on a City or Chelsea player.
Loads of thinking about the permutations of the remaining weeks has hurt my head so no fixed ideas have stuck yet.

I'm in ... Raoul The Merciless.
Aiming to field 11 in GW31/33 With a FH in GW32. My WC and BB both gone so it's just TC after that.
Be interesting to see how well those with all the chips left do v those with some burned.

useful tool (© Mav3rick) listing the Pending Entrants even before the league starts, with functioning team links
https://ratemyteam.uk/Fiso/SideGameData/1367903/30
you'll only have to change the GW number at the end to get GW summary for each team, including chips played (AC=ActiveChip, on the right)
Reminder:
starting a Classic league from GW31, the hits you took for GW31 will NOT get deducted from the League total score
that would skew the ranking a bit

Re: FISO 'Chips' League (GW 31-38)
I think what would be really useful is a summary of the top 25 (or more) in the league and what chips they have left, and what they have played (and when). That is what i see as the really useful research to come out of this mini league. Might take some extra special Mose magic to get it though...

I am in (Bulletproof Poets). Current strategy which is subject to daily sometimes hourly change is
BGW31 - Field 10 no extra transfers as I cannot see anyone worth the -4 gamble
DGW32 - FH
BGW33 - Hopefully field 11, the same ten as BGW31 (all being well) plus a free transfer
GW34 - WC
DGW35 - Bench Boost
TC probably on Mane or Salah when they play Huddersfield
Good luck all!

I'm afraid that would require tweaking Mav's tool to show a summary, as it currently only shows the one which was active in a given GW
nickchild's FPL get player info can't help there either
otherwise
it would need opening each team history individually,
or storing mav's tool Chips League output for EVERY GW so far... and consolidating from there
for teams in the Fiso Forum League I have that data stored already (only for GWs they were in , if not from the start)
this would be the approach I'd follow here too, but of course not until the entrants list is finalised....

Re: FISO 'Chips' League (GW 31-38)
at a first check,
thanks to Chiptastic and incredible bulk for presenting their teams here
of the 60 entrants so far,
12 (that's 1 in 5) team owners are not known to me
we have of course to respect everyone's privacy,
but I always wonder what's the point in entering such experiment,
thus providing your own data for the stats and also running to win it,
if you don't disclose with Fiso Username which is your team...
...and would you come out in the end, or win this league incognito? what would be the point, secret private gloating???
in any such game or "theme-league" I'd organise here undeer fiso, I'd put as requirement that you'd disclose yourself as Fiso owner, or you can't sneak incognito in a Fiso activity
but that's not my idea nor organisation....
with such a high rate of masked players, I might not find the motivation to provide any output here...
