Re .Mahrez being out of favour

Well not really, he was always going to be back up, its just City can afford expensive back ups, Bernado, Jesus, Mahrez etc

Its just hard to accept they spent 64m on a sub, i remember pre season im here when i suggested it there was widespread scorn , that city wouldn't spend that much on a sub

While I partly agree with you, I think Sane finding good form and maintaining it, combined with Mendy not being available, has caused a bit of a problem in that Sane has become more essential than anyone would have imagined.

I wonder how happy Mahrez can be to be getting so little game time, but I guess if he is happy to contribute less minutes but get paid well and be part of a winning team and CL football, that is fine by him.

With all the uncertainty surrounding City Players, is De Bruyne not worth considering? I just think Sterling may be rested for one of the games and replaced by Mahrez.

De Bruyne should play both games?

Thoughts....

Glad to see I'm not the only one going Son: I just can't bring myself to get excited about Everton attackers. So am spurning Everton all together and just going one City for the DGW: am I being mad? Does anyone want to talk me out of this for a -4?

I'm bringing in Kevin for Anderson, although reluctantly offloading the Brazilian..

Hazard  Sane

Plan is to save FT and then get Son and Jota in place of Sane and Richarlison for blank GW27 which will give me 11 players

Sané will have West Ham at home in GW28, I'd just bench him for 27.

Pretty sure one of my moves will be Digne -> Laporte.

Lots of options for the other, though!
1) Anderson -> Jota
2) Auba -> Aguero
3) Alonso -> someone (LIV def, NEW def?)
4) roll it

Any of those sound preferable? Bit at a loss really :?

Edit: I can also take the ‘sod the DGW’ approach and do Digne, Kamara -> Bednarek, Jimenez.

I have 2 free, but dunno what to do.

Only have Pickford, Stones, Laporte as DGWers.

Is it wise getting rid of Alonso before Huddersfield at home? Wonder will he return in place of Emerson?

That is why I am pondering Kiko to Laporte and BB'ing - especially with Pogba apparently OK according to OGS.

Saving. Had a few thoughts but don't really want to push too much with this DGW. Although if either Danilo or Stones get a solid score then I will regret that decision :D

worth bringing in Ederson for Fab or Laporte for Holebas/Shaw? It's my 2nd free. Should I just roll?

Good point. Could get a defender such as Pereira/Kolasinac in place of Digne instead and keep Sane. Depends on when Mendy returns too I guess.

F. Anderson to Son.

Son may have limited minutes this week, but I had to use a transfer and so makes sense to bring that move forward (also with exact money).

I could do Auba to Aguero for a free, but I'd need to use another transfer to switch back next week. So it is Auba plus 2 frees next week, or Aguero and no frees next week. Given I have Sane to captain, doesn't make sense to bring in Aguero. Hoping he gets just Arsenal.

So, going into the DGW with just Sane and Rich.

Already have Sanè, so I have two doublers... Sanè & De Bruyne for the DGW.

Was going to put Richarlison in but wanted Son too. So just put Son in. Saves a transfer next week for him and he'll probably outscore him anyway.

Just Ederson, Sane and Aguero for me.

Really regretting my midweek transfer out of Richarlison and Felipe for Jota and Salah. Season wise it's the right move but timing wise I'm not so sure .

My other thought at the time had been to stick with Rich and get rid of Felipe for a city mid giving me 2 DGWers. It would have also saved a 4pt hit.

Now I'm in a position where I won't have any DGWers and can't get any without severely disrupting my team as most of my high price players were bought at very good prices.

I could remove Salah back out for a week to get a city mid double but Salah could easily outscore any double against West Ham who they've put 4 past in their last 3 games.

Think I'll have to stick with single

An 8 point hit to get Son in? Is that crazy.

Already done

Shaw  Schar
Patricio  Ederson

But also want to do
Anderson  Son
Trippier  4.5m

Trippier has been real shitty value this season. Coming on the other night for 21 minutes and stealing Jonny's 6 points off the bench was the last straw....

No transfer this week
That allows me to move Aguero and Sané out for Aubameyang and Son next week

Is getting Stones or Danilo in worth a 4 point hit? Are either likely to play both games?

I can see Walker and Danilo starting one and then Danilo and Mendy starting the other, but could easily be Walker and Mendy, or no Mendy at all, or Delph at the left. As for Stones, Kompany is ruled out so his competition is only really Otamendi as Laporte is likely to start both.

But a 4 point hit would mean I’d need at least a clean sheet and two 60 mins+ to get away with 8 points or 4 points net.

The defender I’d be looking to take out is Jonny, who could have a claim to a clean sheet or offence points of his own.

I’d then need another transfer to get rid of Stones before the blank, so is it really worth it for an extra 2-4 points or so?

I think I’ve talked myself out of it, but fear I’m under-resourced with DGW coverage (currently only have Sane and Rich). Or am I falling victim to overthinking the first DGW?

I could, for an 8 point hit, work in a more valuable City player like KDB or Aguero, or even swap out Fab for Ederson, but - unlike Jonny - I’d be losing upwards of 0.2m on any other player I take out. I fancy Fab again after the Liverpool game so I’m not sure 0.2m and another transfer is worth a stab at a clean sheet or two from Ederson, similar to Jonny vs Stones/Danilo.

Please help!
