GW38 crazy game
Seems to me there’s always an end of season game where you get the crazy result , a team totally capitulates and just gives in !. Could be Huddersfield this year after the last 2games exertions but they play Arsenal ....maybe Everton .....struggling to see where it may come ....WBA could but don’t think Moore will let them
Any opinions ....trying to find a mad goal scorer to shoe horn into my team

Re: GW38 crazy game
Tough to predict really.
Liverpool vs. Brighton
Newcastle vs. Chelsea
Southampton vs. Man City
Swansea vs. Stoke
Are the only 4 games with anything riding on them at all, but even then only 4 of those 8 teams actually have anything to play for (maybe 5 if you consider that Man City might feel inclined to reach 100 points).
That leaves 6 complete dead rubbers where anything could happen, from a drab 0-0 to a ridiculous 5-5 like we saw in Fergie's last game at United a few years back.

There is also the scenario whereby some individual end-of-season performance unexpectedly has fairy-dust sprinkled on it, like Lukaku's hat-trick for West Brom in the 5-5. Giroud, maybe? Or even Morata?!

Re: GW38 crazy game
Chelsea, Liverpool are the only teams with stakes in the final game. Arsenal and Man City might be motivated for different reasons but beyond them, no other team has anything left to play for

Re: GW38 crazy game
Don't think a crazy scoreline has much to do with stakes. In fact, such games are played out rationally, imo.
No, it'll likely be one of the dead rubbers.
Spurs vs Leicester
West Ham vs Everton
Palace vs West Brom
Man United vs Watford?

I tend to agree palace are an interesting prospect , as are spurs but they don’t look like thrashing anyone right nowSirMattBugsby wrote: ↑10 May 2018, 13:04 Don't think a crazy scoreline has much to do with stakes. In fact, such games are played out rationally, imo.

If Stoke try to relegate Hughes, then Jordan Ayew.

I’d put my money on Arnautovic.

Re: GW38 crazy game
It's more to do with Leicester, who got beat 5-0 by Palace. If they do turn up, I feel it will be more in attack than in defence.yttod1010 wrote:I tend to agree palace are an interesting prospect , as are spurs but they don’t look like thrashing anyone right nowSirMattBugsby wrote: ↑10 May 2018, 13:04 Don't think a crazy scoreline has much to do with stakes. It's also why I'm debating whether to keep or sell Vertonghen. Something like 4-2 is possible.

You should keep Vertonghen; it's the last game of the season and he hasn't scored a PL goal since, what, the 2012-13 season? If you lost him for this one last game and he scored, you would not be happy.

Re: GW38 crazy game
I was wondering about a situation where, say, City go 3 up early against Southampton and Swansea have to chase goals against Stoke. Swansea haven't looked like scoring for ages but seems the sort of crazy thing that can happen in GW38. I can imagine there being a point when Saints start getting really worried but Swansea end up a couple of goals short e.g. City 4 - Southampton 0; Swansea 4 - Stoke 1. Perhaps thats all a bit far fetched though?
As Football Hero said, Jordan Ayew would be the pick

Wagner let Huddersfield players go clubbing after their draw against Chelsea. Good candidates for a stuffing now surely?
