Still thinking about whether or not to take a hit for my bench boost with Moreno, Smalling and Pogba unlikely to play..

My idea is to go for Moreno and Smalling for Robertson and Bellerín while hoping Pogba will start/play/score. That being said, Moreno could play (even in place of Mané) while Smalling + Pogba enables me to get in Robertson and a 10m midfielder. Just no clue who to go for in that midfield range.

Yeah I figured he’d either start or not play all but given the comments I may as well bench him as you say

Very frustrating to go into the last week with a weak side. Sour taste in the mouth

Why not Eriksen? FFS projects him as the third highest scoring midfielder this week behind Salah and Martial

Otherwise I wouldn’t even consider but I have too many players not likely to play in my squad.

Yes, thanks. I definitely have him on my mind and seems to be the safest one and potentially most rewarding one.

Might await to see any line up right before the deadlock..

D.Silva > Martial
Kenedy > Gudmondsson (-4)

That's it for me I reckon. No point in taking any more hits I reckon. Good luck all! One last go at it today!

Worth it? My sub keeper won’t play (Hart). People chasing me have Salah (could easily get a goal and assist) and with Smalling being rested my covering defenders are Naughton, Ogbonna or Long.
Is Adrian definitely starting or is that just based on the fact he’s started the last ones and one nothing wrong? Hart was in possession until he couldn’t play Man U wasn’t he?
Turned out nice in the end. Did Eriksen & Smalling out for Alexander Arnold & Salah. Didn’t bother with Romero to avoid a -8 but would’ve worked out if I had. Think I’ve done just enough to finish 2nd in my mini league and grab about £80. Not bad for what I consider an awful season for me (68 transfers lol)

Shouldn't have bothered with the Martial, or Gudmondsson transfer in the end really. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I honestly thought Martial would have been a great differential today with the potential of a good haul. Oh well..

Ended up doing, what I thought was a very uninspiring, Smalling > Robertson 5 minutes before the deadline, but in hindsight that’s looking like one of my best decisions of the season!

Chances of Moreno starting....?
Pretty slim. I'll follow you with a bench boost and transfer Moreno out to bring back my boy Robertson again for him to score a goal. He's the only "Liverpool first-11'er" to still score a goal this season.
8-)

Libero wrote: 12 May 2018, 10:24 Am torn between 2 options

1. Mahrez to Zaha
The Leicester man has looked way off the pace, despite the late goal against Arsenal, and has a tough fixture; Zaha the opposite. But with Barnes injured I'll have to start all of Lingard, Groß and Son.

2. Barnes to J Ayew
Lets me bench 1 of the 3 above (Lingard I guess; unlikely to start). Ayew doesn't have the upside of Zaha but this feels more sensible when my bench includes 1 non-starter (Smalling) and 1 with an awful fixture (Morgan).

I don't see it justified to take a -4 and do both. I just don't. Thoughts please!
So you'd play
1. Zaha+Lingard (only Morgan on bench)
-vs-
2. Mahrez+JAyew (with Lingard+Morgan on bench)
somehow I like #2 better, but I'm having a terrible season!

Both:
Zaha+JAyew (with Lingard+Morgan on bench)
You'd be gambling on Zaha's form to outscore Mahrez by 4+p... :?
So, you went for #1 and lost 3p. With Morgan 0p subbing on for Lingard dnp.
Had you gone for #2 you'd have gained 2p.
A 5p swing.
For once I had got an advice right!

Those 5p would have brought you to 30,778 instead of 34,668, you lost 3,890 places, 12.64% of your possible final rank ;)
It would have remained your 6th best finish in 9 seasons anyway...
And I don't think it would have made any significant difference in your MLs either, it wouldn't have even helped to avoid defeat vs Sp4 in Fiso H2H!
