FFFix Crashing

Post by Smurphy Paw »

Is anyone else having issues with Fantasy Football Fix?
As I am removing and adding players to optimise my Wild Card squad it keeps crashing as I enter the 15th player - just at the point when it’d give me a steer about how misguided I was being!

I’ve reported it, but would be interested to know if it was just me or something at Fix towers. I had not had any problem until the last week or two, but as it’s a paid App I expect better.

Thanks

Just to test it for you, I removed all my XV, and picked other random XV (4 Burnleys :o).
No problem at all.

When does it exactly crash on You?
I picked the players from the list there, filtering by each position

Thanks MoSe
Typically it happens at the point in time when the ‘15th’ player is put into position. That can be by picking players from the side bars, or when substituting between the bench and 1st eleven.
In general, bringing players in isn’t a problem so I wonder if it is having trouble moving to the next task of totalling up/similar.
The error message lacks detail, just confirming an error or repeated error

Sorry I have already Reset,
But shifting starters/benchers with my real XV didn't trigger any error either
With modern devices, it shouldn't happen anymore a program crashes for lack of available memory / resources.
Have you tried coldboot the whole device, lest something had got corrupted in the running memory or stack or whatever? (Even in the virtual machine on their server dedicated to your session)

Unfortunately that didn’t work, and happened on both my Mac and iPad. Looks like it’s just me though so I’ll see what Fix can do

Bit off topic but I've only ever used my own football knowledge does fffix help much?

It’s like all sources of data. It can definitely help, but rather depends how it is used. It can also hinder.
For example, late last week it was happily recommending the transfers in of Firminho and Aubameyang. Here at FISO we had learned that both were likely to be benched. On FFFix all it did was increase the level of uncertainty. A lack of awareness of the way it works could have left many to bring in expensive non-playing players.

What it is brilliant at is adding up and all the behind the scenes stuff so it is easier to run scenarios. Not once has my weekly score been as predicted though!!
