Gameweek 35 Transfers - Deadline: 21 Apr 11:30 (BST)

Post by tarkens »

Well, I used my FH in GW34 and it looks like I'm slightly screwed for GW35 :) Wildcarding in GW36

Currently I have 7 starters and that's assuming that Salah, Firmino and Van Dijk will feature against West Brom despite playing Roma three days later

Van Dijk Coleman
Walcott Salah Sterling
Auba Firmino

De Gea, Elliot, Schindler, Chilwell, Mkhitaryan, Mahrez, Mounie

I want to keep De Gea till the end of the season and I'm happy to take a hit or two to field a decent team next week. Looking at three out of Schindler, Mahrez, Mkhitaryan and Mounie to make way for Zaha, Mili, Long (the one from Burnley) and City players.

I can get Sane and Zaha for Mahrez and Mkhitaryan for -4, probably not worth doing Schindler -> Long for -8

or

Jesus, Zaha and Milivojevic for Mounie, Mahrez and Mkhitaryan for -8

are there any other players worth considering for GW35?

Annoyingly (as I plan to use my FH) I assume my TV could take a pounding this week... not to mention a few of the players I want for GW36 all had decent weekend’s so will no doubt climb in value before I can get them in.

Schindler to Long and Lukaku to Aubameyang for my FT

Albrighton to Zaha for a -4 give me a possible starting 11. Zaha has something to play for and the fixtures are good so the -4 does not seem bad.
My problem will be getting a TC team for 37 without too many hits.

So this is where us poor b*stards who've already used our Free Hit chip can come to share our sob stories? Oy... :roll:

Currently have 7. Pope, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mustafi, Salah, McArthur, Deeney. Thinking about a potential Lukaku/Willian :arrow: Jesus/Sterling for a -4. Or maybe just get Jesus and keep Willian. Or maybe something else entirely. I'm really not sure yet.

Either way I'm expecting a painful GW. Which serves me right for blowing my FH in GW22.

To be fair, no-one really knew the extremity of how the fixtures have fallen and the fixture contrast between consecutive gameweeks. I think those that have already used the FH have been a little unfortunate because as you say, it could be very painful indeed. :lol:

Yes that's true, and also the Free Hit in GW22 did give me a nice little rankings boost of 35k places. The problem was that I managed the following weeks terribly (removing Hazard for a hit right before he went on a scoring spree was a particular lowlight) and undid all the good work of the Free Hit.

I'd like to think lessons have been learned but I suppose only time will tell.

How does your draft look like so far?
Anything close to my idea?

Plan A: Lukaku to Jesus & Stanislas to Zaha for -4
Plan B: Stanislas to Gundogan

Plan B creates funds to get Kane for GW36, so A would effectively result in a -8. There is a 3rd option of doing Salah to Sane which would also enable funds to get Kane next GW without a hit, but really hesitant on selling Salah.

Hop on hop off for the week with Kane becoming Auba/Laca/Jesus-a.

Also need to figure out what to do with Bailly.

I'm considering swapping him for Vincent Kompany, Inc.

have the exact for
Vardy :arrow: Jesus
Mahrez :arrow: Sterling (-4)

I currently only have 6 players for the GW though with potential doubts over Robertson and Salah's game time. May even add in some more hits and bring in Otamendi and Zaha for Alonso and Lingard. Could be a -12. I am chasing in my mini league though so need to do something a bit drastic.

Hazard :arrow: Sterling for sure.

If Mahrez blanks and looks unimpressive again then Mahrez :arrow: De Bruyne (-4).

Low ceiling + rotation, Otamendi/Kompany are a better choices imo.

Really? I would have thought he's the most nailed of the whole back 4.

Yeah, it's crossed my mind that if the Liverpool team comes out, it might be safer to pick van Dijk or whoever regardless. Can't afford passengers this week

Probably Auba to Jesus and Vertonghen to someone.

However, I’d be relying on Ramsey playing to field 10 so maybe i’ll keep Auba and do 2 players without a fixture to 2 with for security.

Can I use my 1 free transfer to lineup for GW36 and then make my FH to GW35, so I don't lose the free transfer?

sorry if it's a NO ;)
in short, after GW35 deadline, your GW36 team in "My Team" completely reverts to the XV you fielded in GW34, with updated prices
nothing you did between GW34 deadline and GW35 deadline will be kept

Sane, Silva, or Sterling for a hit and the year end run in? my league leader has Sterling so I was leaning on one of the other two but I'm wondering if that's really that wise to go without Sterling

Think I might go for...
Lukaku -> Jesus
Mahrez -> Sterling
Alonso -> Kompany

-4.

This gives me exactly 11, though one of those is Auba. Think I’ll just hang on to him and hope Wenger decides to start him after all.
