I personally will be amazed if Klopp doesn't go for a lesser team in a big way, it's maybe a shame for Mo but it's a team game and team priorities must take precedence over any individual ones.

Klopp has shown before that he does prioritise and can select accordingly, the Merseyside derby showed it in a very small way, but this is the semis and they're even closer, one big result and they're almost within touching distance of the final, the Roma ties must surely have priority over all else.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if there were seriously weakened line ups in 35 and 36 and possibly even 37.

Even Mourinho benched Lukaku and that was only for the FA cup. The Champions League is infinitely more important and triumph here could be career defining for Klopp and an unbelievably massive boost for the club and memories that will last decades, conversely who won the golden boot and other individual records will be forgotten in relatively no time at all.

Don't mind either way whether he's benched or starts because I'm on FH. However so many managers are bigging up the importance of momentum and form. I.e It seems to be much better for a team to win, said player score and get hauled off after 70 minutes to keep the freshness than come off the bench, do nothing and watch the team fail to win. I understand the small injury risk and in that respect, yes Salah possibly will be saved.

What we know is Klopp will play a strong team ( he's not said he won't rest players, thats Dinnerys rather hasty spin on it ), and that Firmy has a slight knock, because again its beem confirmed.

They have have two spare strikers and Firmino has had a long season, makes no sense to not rest him now.

Mane had two months off from injury, he's much fresher.
