Re: HIT or MISS DGW22
HIT!
I had originally planned to use my 2FT and take a -8, removing Smalling Richarlison Hazard and Lukaku for Ogbonna Arnie Son and Kane. Thinking ahead and taking into account i would want Aguero and Sterling in next week, resulting in more hits I decided to use my Free Hit Chip.
I have worked it out that if I had done the -8 my team would have a total of 26p (-8) ((18p)) with Kane (c) Arnie Son and Ogbonna to go.
My Free Hit team has so far raked in 61p with Lloris Cresswell Arnie Lanzini Son and Kane (c) to play.
Lloris 6p (1TG)
Otamendi 2p
Maguire 6p
Cresswell 7p (1TG)
Mahrez 14p
Arnie 5p (1TG)
Sterling 9p
Lanzini 1p (1TG)
Son 3p (1TG)
Kane (C) (1TG)
Aguero 6p

Definite hit there, great job and a suitable hike to your OR as well although I guess a certain amount of attack v defence limits your points potential tonight.

Re: HIT or MISS DGW22
anything tonight I see as an added bonus. Delighted with the big margin points swing between my original planned team taking a -8, and going with the Free Hit team. Makes a big difference too when most of the single GW players I decided to go with (Maguire Mahrez Sterling Aguero) returned a total of 35p.

Re: HIT or MISS DGW22
So far I'm a miss but the night is young. Still 6 players to go. I decided to go full mental with the WC and on a bit different scheme - no Kane at all in the squad (we've all been sick with a bug and we know how hard the recovery is, so I gambled he will not start the first game), and Alli, Eriksen and Son instead but captained Aguero. The pure numbers tell -4 so far but let's see, there is potential. De Bruyne transfer was always going to happen according to the news circulating, so not sorry about this one. Probably should've kept Alonso instead of Otamendi but it is unlucky situation, no point in hindsight. Hoping Kane will play only 60-ish minutes tonight and won't score more than 1 goal.

Re: HIT or MISS DGW22
Last week: Richarlison (5 + 2) > Arnie (1 [Carroll] + 5 + 0) - LOSS
Foster (2) > Adrian (2 + 4) - WIN
Mustafi (1) > Ogbonna (2 + 2) - WIN
Morata (2) > Aguero (6) [-4] - DRAW, but with Morata plummeting in price and Aguero going the other way, I'll count as a win
6 point win overall but nothing to write home about. Really wish I could've found a way to bring Son in also.

I went Kun too, and am 4 whole points up, which isn't bad as: Silva was dropping, so had to go; Pog had pi55ed me off; and the whole Lulu\Jesus\Kun thing was there to be jumped on.

(dissapointing ) Points from today Adrian 4, Vertonghen 2, Eriksen 2Oxford NZ wrote: ↑04 Jan 2018, 06:42 WC played 62 so far mostly thanks to the import of Albrighton.
8 transfers WC used plus the financial cost of Salah and Christensen in lost 0.5 TV if I buy then back
Players in
Adrian 2 +Spurs, Vertonghen 7 + WHU, Albrighton 13, Gross 2, Eriksen 6 + WHU, Aguero 6, Firmino 1 (Bench GW22 Depoitre 1) = 37 (plus 1 point staying on the bench)
Players out
Fabianski 2, Christensen 1, Salah 0, Pogba 12, RLC 1, Morata 2, Wood 0, DCL 1 = 19
So up 18 on last weeks squad so far but keeping Coutinho over Pogba made a 12 point loss, plus the cost to get him out if he goes to Barcelona.
So total 24 (+1 on the bench) points up on the pre WC DGW squad.

Your "cost" is losing whichever DGW'ers that you want out, and the immeasurable loss of the WC?Oxford NZ wrote: ↑04 Jan 2018, 23:12(dissapointing ) Points from today Adrian 4, Vertonghen 2, Eriksen 2Oxford NZ wrote: ↑04 Jan 2018, 06:42 WC played 62 so far mostly thanks to the import of Albrighton.

Re: HIT or MISS DGW22
Vertonghen to Chelsea defender plus Coutinho to Lingard -4 for GW23.
Getting Salah back probably -4 in a couple of weeks time.
Bringing Kane back soon probably -4 .
WC cost unknown but my squad is in better shape because I shipped out Wood and Morata for free.
Still gives me a net gain of +12 over last weeks squad. With out Albrighton I would be breaking even.
(Without Son's stunner of a goal I would be up clean sheets for Adrien Ogbonna and Adrian's bonus point as well)
Edit to add the cost of the behind the sofa beverages and dry cleaning fo the blanket.

Hazard (10), Morata (2), Salah to Eriksen (8), Kane (3), Son (12). For a -4.
So, 7 points up. But there will also be a longer term evaluation depending upon how all these players do over the next couple of GWs while I roll / restructure.

Re: HIT or MISS DGW22
I recon I am up at least 20 points over the last 4 GW's because of your advice Cheers, but it comes down to Spurs v Everton or Chelsea V Leicester for a CS and or attacking defender points I fancy Chelsea. I covered my bases by getting Albrighton (at a good price) so IF I go with Alonso and Chelsea concede I hope he gets an assist at least and Alonso is involved in any Chelsea action. Eriksen covers me for any Spurs v Everton points I hope.
Whilst typing this I just watched Vardy's goals. 9 goals nearly all against the top 6 (missing out on City so far though).
2- Arsenal
1- Chelsea
2-Liverpool
1-Everton
1 - Spurs
1-Man U
and a random goal against Huddersfield thrown in as well.
I may head off to the bookies and put a tenner on him to score first at Chelsea

Updated. -16 net in the end and a wasted TC chip, couldn’t have been much worse but sh*t happens. Just annoying to see them players in my squad nowHighlander12 wrote: ↑03 Jan 2018, 23:43 I took a -8.

Arnie 5
Eriksen 8
Kane 3
Currently on -29 net. Unbelievable. Sold Kane before his back to back hat tricks and sold Alonso in GW17. What a horrendous few weeks for me.
97 points behind my mini league leader after he smashed 89 on free hit. Thinking Eriksen Lingard and Zeegelaar Alonso (-4) to double up on Chelsea defence.
Week after will likely be Son 4.2/4.3m mid to fund DCL Aguero (-4). Time to be a bit aggressive.

Re: HIT or MISS DGW22
Including the -4 points hit the GW transfers cost me 28 points, a used TC chip and 0.6m in TV. I’ll take the positives from it though, my ML rivals might be intimidated by the fact I was prepared to use one of the chips so early and I usually perform well early in the season when my TV is only 100m which I’m almost back to.

Re: HIT or MISS DGW22
Exactly. After thinking about it I reckon the TC chip is actually a trap, and it may even be worth negative points as it tricks you in to captaining someone who ends up scoring poorly like Kane this GW or Aguero last season. I’m glad to be rid of it for the return of 3 points, I consider that getting out of jail. It’s s clever ruse by makers of FPL.eastcentral1 wrote: ↑05 Jan 2018, 11:09Don't forget to add that you now have the advantage of being unburdened by the TC chip!blahblah wrote:WOWValeron wrote: ↑05 Jan 2018, 09:56 Including the -4 points hit the GW transfers cost me 28 points, a used TC chip and 0.6m in TV. Elliot and Richarlison to Adrian and son for -4. TC Kane hurt but green arrow to around 1300 and top 10 FISO forum with 70 (-4). Could have been a lot worse. You aren't going to get every decision right. TC was a risk and in hindsight maybe too much. Was still thinking about it right up to the deadline. Will just move on. Still have FH/BB/WC that others have used. Happy with the festive period for sure.
