Re: Firmino
I could, but brought in Jesus on Friday (3.2m ITB) and both seems a tad OTT?

Keeping.
Although I did only recently bring him in and don't like to admit defeat so quickly.

Re: Firmino
Yep. Holding fire for now, with Vardy or Rooney possible alternatives should I need a get out. He's not a priority for me right now, still represents value imo, but probably less so with Mane out (ironically, as losing Mane was the reason I ended up with him...).

Re: Firmino
Tbh: I got him during WC hoping for the double, and have it.... I have Salah and 2 was always at least 1 too many for me.
Clueless who to get in though.

Re: Firmino
I'm wondering about Firmino -> Jesus and Willian -> Gross for a hit. Anyone want to talk me out of it?
To be honest I was hoping to roll the transfer, but the value swing might force me into action. The no-hit move, Firmino -> Vardy, does not appeal to me. If only I didn't have to decide in the next few hours!

Re: Firmino
Depends who else you have, tbh.
Ditto re deciding tonight: almost certainly going Carroll. Apparently he is being rested in the LC, so no chance of injury there?

Re: Firmino
As long as Sturridge is fit, he'll miss games here and there. But the larger picture is that people are taking him out for Aguero/Jesus who've got a bigger upside

Re: Firmino
I have had him from the start and will keep a little longer.
I have enough money to do Firmino and Eriksen to Kane and a 7.8m which is very tempting. Will wait and see though as I've already made my moves this week.
Firmino is still a great pick.

Re: Firmino
I currently own Aguero, Jesus, and Firmino (bought at 8.5 so currently got the extra .1) - and have 1.3 in the bank.
Will I be transferring Firmino out? Probably not at this stage because his form mirrors what I expected from him at the start of the season. My prediction for Firmino was probably to score around a dozen goals and get a dozen assists. So his current one in three strike rate gets him to that level. Obviously if he continues to blank over the next couple of games then I might consider transferring him out.
Who would I go for? With my existing budget I'd say Vardy is a prime target if he keeps scoring. Outside of him the rest are fairly unappealing unless their form picks up (i.e. Rooney, Chicharito). I guess Welbeck could be an outside bet but with Sanchez on the return, I'm not convinced how long Welbeck will remain in their starting line up. So the alternative to Vardy on my team would be Fellaini out for a 4.5 mid, which would allow me to bring in Morata or Lacazette. However, if I wanted Lukaku I would need to find a further 1.4, which would mean downgrading MKH, Salah or Eriksen to someone around the 7.0 mark. So currently I'd lean towards Vardy or possibly Morata if I did make moves, however I'm currently happy with Firmino unless the blanks continue.

Well, Firmino is rested so will most probably play this weekend unless this team thrashes Leicester.
Bad news for owners is Sturridge appears to be rested too.

Re: Firmino
Maybe he should try not letting in goals: to ease the pressure on the forwards so they are more relaxed and convert more chances?

Re: Firmino
Nah, none of our forwards are clinical to begin with except for Mane and Sturridge, but it seems as though the injuries have caught up with the latter.

Re: Firmino
Having played hopefully-he-won't-drop roulette for the last two nights and coming to the realisation that I'm not really that bothered if he does, I think I'm going to keep Firmino too.
I'd shift him for the right incoming player, but nothing seems to fit. Jesus and Gross? Not convinced by the latter given it would involve -4. I have exact funds to get Morata and Ritchie, but Morata's going the wrong way on the price change websites, and this is meant to be a value-based transfer. If some positive news about Vardy emerged it might be different, but even then I'm not enamoured by what's very much a sideways move.
So, the plan is to avoid doing anything I might regret afterwards, swallow a 0.1 loss, and keep a transfer banked for when fixtures shift in a couple of weeks.
That's my playing style down to a tee - reacting to a quad-millionaire GW rank by doing absolutely nothing
