You are the biggest Aguero fan here but you don't have him at the moment? :shock:

Weird. My team seems to have reverted to the one from the previous gameweek i.e. with Pogba. There's nothing wrong showing in the transfer history. Wonder what'll happen if I try to make another transfer.... :?

sounds a bit weird. That's as though you played your Free Hit chip - but it doesn't appear that that's the case from your squad :?

Not that I doubt you but can you double-check?

I will probably lose Jones after his second rise for Kolasinac.

Yup, I somehow managed to play (waste) the free hit chip, probably alcohol related. Balls, that's a real blow :roll:

Is your FPL button pointing to this years team?- the one currently linked does have Pogba last week but doesn't show the Free Hit being used?

Giving serious thought to whether Lukaku to Aguero is worth it..

Morata :arrow: Aguero
Luiz :arrow: Trippier

Not impressed with Luiz's red at all. Having been forced into that, I felt I had to get Ageuro to cover for the captaincy that virtually everyone is going to have now. I'm having to carry Pogba now, and if Luiz hadn't get sent off I probably would have done Pogba :arrow: David Silva.

Will be weakening defence to go big in attack.

Alonso :arrow: Mbemba

Firmino :arrow: Kun (C)

-4

Midfield is Alli, Silva, Salah then one of Carroll/Chalobah

Defence is the best 3/4 each week from Cedric, Jones, Evans, Naughton, Mbemba

One playing keeper in Elliot and 4.0 Krul

Feels a very different season.

Why not do it for a hit? Who will you be playing otherwise?

Pogba seems to be out for 12 weeks, so you'll need to ship him out one day...

Hernandez to Ageuro

part funded by

Eriksen to a sub 7m midfielder

Don't want to lose Eriksen but can't ignore the City attack at the moment, and I cannot see a scenario where Eriksen & Hernandez outscore Aguero and whichever midfielder I pick.

I could get Aguero in a single transfer but Lukaku and United are on fire and I'd rather lose Eriksen than Kane.

It would be either Hegazi or Daniels that I would have dropped. Doesn't seem worth it for another hit, Pep may do something crazy like rest Silva anyway and Daniels could get a goal/assist versus Everton the way they are playing, and Hegazi has Arsenal so anything is possible. I fancy J-Rod to steal something against Arsenal, and I think this Liverpool 'crisis' is overblown, I expect Firmino will get something soon.

I don't want to lose Lukaku or Kane so to get a City forward I could do :

Alonso ---> Rosenior
Chicarito ----> Jesus (-4)

Or

Alonso ----> cheap defender
Alli ------> Silva
Chicarito ----> Aguero (-8)

But not keen on losing Alli for a -8

Now is the time to get Aguero in!

Which option do you think is best?

A

Kane :arrow: Aguero
Chicarito :arrow: Firmino / Vardy

B

Chicarito :arrow: Aguero
Eriksen :arrow: Groß / 5.9

My current team is:

Foster, Elliot
Jones, Cedric, Mee, Lowe, Mbemba
Eriksen, Salah, Mkhitarian, Choupo-Moting, Carroll
Kane / Lukaku / Chicarito

I'm leaning towards option A at the moment.

Cheers!

Looking to do Chicha -> Vardy this GW. Can either do Eriksen -> Silva to raise funds or Richarlison -> Cork and commit to a 4-3-3. Guess I need to make a decision soon as Silva is on the verge of a rise tonight

Like some others I'm sure, I can't afford Aguero, but I can just about afford:

Chicharito to Jesus
Willian to Atsu

That would leave my midfield as the slightly unbalanced Newcastle/Spurs double-double:
Atsu Ritchie Eriksen Alli (Carroll)

However, my defence is probably good enough to play four defenders every now and then.

Only thing holding me back is I can't see anything conclusive on Vardy's groin injury - anyone got a good source for whether he'll be out?

very similar dilemma to me, but I'm going for B, purely because I'd rather lose Eriksen than Kane. I love Eriksen as an FPL pick but he ticks over rather than being explosive, and he's not going to be captained very often. A Kane haul will hurt far more than anything Eriksen does, even more so when he's a popular captain pick.

for this reason I'm doing B, just not sure on the midfielder yet.

Tempted for
Eriksen :arrow: Groß
Abraham :arrow: Aguero (-4)

Or Lacazette :arrow: Aguero
Jones :arrow: Kolasinac (-4)

Swaying to option 1 as don't really want to lose Lacazette before 2 home games and he's a viable captain option in GW7

Mooy :arrow: Obiang

and

Robertson :arrow: Fernandez (Because Robertson had to go...)

Allowing me to do...

Firmino :arrow: Kun

Partly TV chasing but also feels like I can't go without Man City players for the next few weeks.

Team now feels top heavy but hopefully keeping Alli, Mhiki and Alonso means it's not totally disbalanced.

Jones to Kolasinac for a (-4) is a bit silly.

Lacazette to Aguero looks an absolute no-brainer if you can afford it without a hit.

True, just don't like the idea of getting rid of Lacazette before 2 decent home games. Ditching Abraham and eriksen for the hit would allow me a front line of Kane, Aguero, Lacazette.

To get aguero in or not. Hmm. Took a hit this gw to get Jane in and captain him. That obviously didn't work out well. If I want aguero it would have to be for firmino and a hit. I would need to drop de bruyne or Ali to afford it. Does this make sense?

I need to sell Redmond and Rodriguez.

Can't decide whether to go for David Silva and cheap bench fodder (Quaner) or Ritchie and Wood/Chicharito/Abraham.

Redmond looks like dropping tonight so could do to decide quickly.

Do you plan to play 2 or 3 up top? How confident are you in your other midfielders and defenders?

I personally don't see any of that trio of strikers being particularly prolific this season. They might hit double figures, but they are likely to be fairly inconsistent and hard to rely upon. So an alternative to your plan above if you prefer Ritchie over Silva or don't see there being a significant difference in points production would be to do something like this:

Ritchie 5.9 + Ayew 5.0 = 10.9 or Ritchie 5.9 + Abraham 5.5 = 11.4

Going down this route would save you 1.5 to 2.0 over adding Chicharito (5.9+7.0=12.9). That could be used to strengthen elsewhere, especially if you plan to play 2 up front since that bench striker doesn't really need heavy investment.

was taking a double hit to Mounie -> Aguero last night, possibly leading to a wc. Missed the rise by 30 seconds.
Now deciding between whether to stick with that plan or compromise with a single hit to get Jesus in.
whatever i do it requires a downgrade of Miki Tiki Tavi, Ali or KDB.
At the moment i'm inclinded to go Mounie->Jesus and Ali-> Atsu/Surman

It's a tough drop, but I would probably lean towards Alli as well unless you want Spurs coverage. Granted Alli has two good weeks and three average weeks, but he is a nailed on starter and will likely come good at some point.

I think Jesus and Atsu is a good combination.
