We didn't miss him much for the last game :)

Now, what to do with that £15m, bearing in mind we have 0 fit strikers....

Kiwi here also. Yup he is shit but he is cheap shit that scores. He will be in my team to replace the expensive Batshit and be bench fodder in a 352 or 442 depending on my wild card
He will score goals imo. Could be the De Foe of the season.

He's basically just another Vokes. No way will he score has many as Defoe. Wood needs the ball on a platter before he scores. Can't see him getting the service at Burnley to be worth it.

27 goals in the championship and a goal hanger with a good first touch.
44 goals from 88 appearances for Leeds but only 1 goal from 3 matches this season.
20 international goals from 52 caps or the All Whites
Takes penalties.
Why not if the price is right. :)

Not bad, but he's now up against stoic EPL defenses. I can see that ratio diminishing rapidly.

Anyhow, I hope he does well, always nice to see another Kiwi in the EPL.

In other words, the sort of player we all avoid but at the end of the season we look at his points tally and realise he would have been good for our team.

I wonder why Leeds were so desperate to keep him then...

He's averaging a goal every 140 minutes so far in FPL, that seems pretty good.

Unfortunately not. I meant money well spent for Burnley, my club.

got him in for Bats but after the deadline. I will probably play him as bench in a 352 next game week.

I figure some mod will move these posts in a new "PL-related song puns" forum, so that we don't derail the serious informative discussions here, that the puns don't get ghettoed in FPL and other fisoers can benefit and contribute ;)

Leeds fan here. Wood is certainly not shit. He's strong, good finish, makes lots of good runs and holds the ball up well. Albeit last season was his first season he looked deadly in front of goal, previous seasons he some times looked like a donkey. If he carries on with his new found confidence he may be an FPL player to consider.

Shit is definitely the wrong word, more used in a comical sense to describe someone lacking in finesse and genuine technical ability. A Heskey sort.

To be fair I can imagine him having a hard time playing for New Zealand, most strikers would.

Some of the goals he scored for Leeds last season he used finesse and technical ability and it was surprising for Leeds fans as he looked like a different player. He kept it up all season.

He certainly doesn't look to lack technical ability to me. He's made a very good start to his Burnley career, could have scored more than one yesterday and looked dangerous in the League Cup in midweek.

I think he'll beat Gray's tally from last season.
