While I'm not disputing he had a good season last time around, I feel that his shortcomings were well-covered by action man Azpilicueta. Take Azpilicueta out of the back three (and remove Cahill from alongside him) and he's back to his old self. Liability.

Looked like one of those early-season decisions where the refs have all been briefed where to come down hard, and he applied it at the letter of the law..

Possibly the same for the Fabregas first yellow..
