Re: Who to Bench 17/18
That's not the question being asked, and if you already have him, why use a very valuable early season transfer to get rid of him when he'll be back in your team next week? Sorry, but the logic here seems to be that you shouldn't have picked him in the first place, but that's not the question here.

Re: Who to Bench 17/18
Because before last GW he would have been an obvious pick for this match what with all the Spurs Away at Home stuff, the (imho) mad rush for Chelsea defenders...
If enough has changed not to play him in this one, then why keep him?

Re: Who to Bench 17/18
So what's the final consensus on who to start out of Foster or Elliot?

I am very frustrating. In history, Burnley never kept clean sheet against WBA...

Re: Who to Bench 17/18
I take your point (though very litigious!) but I assumed that the decision was made before the season started as to who would play in GW2 from the 5 defenders chosen. Nothing has really changed from GW1 to GW2 imo so I guess I am technically questioning the original decision as you say. That 7mn burns a monster cash hole in the squad if the question of benching him raises its ugly head. If he was a starter gw2 before the season started, then he is now.Hogmeister wrote:Sutter Kane wrote: ↑18 Aug 2017, 19:11If you have Alonso then you must play him every game. If the plan was there to not play him gw2 then then he becomes very bad value on your bench and you shouldn't have selected him in the first place. In fact the Spurs game is one of the reasons I didn't pick him. He might be in my plans post-WC though.
Not sure I'd agree with that SK. The question isn't whether the OP was right to pick Alonso originally, it was whether (having already picked him) he should bench him this GW to allow other players to play. So that comes down to a straight choice of who is likely to score the most points.
When you have such a close decision (that you need to ask the question) sometimes its about what realistic outcome would aggravate you the most and if Alonso scores/assists, you'd be pretty irritated if benched.

Who would you bench between Ward Prowse and Ritchie?

Bench JWP. For no other reason than Ritchie is more nailed to start.

What's the point of having Daniels if you don't play him at home to Waford? It's easily Daniels in this choice anyway.

I've made my starting line up decisions, so just one minor thing left... Carroll or Hegazi first sub?

Playing Elliot over Foster backfired. At least I kept Hegazi in for WBA cover.

Bench one of:
Zanka (SOU)
Dann (SWA)
Chalobah (BHA)
?
Currently benching Chalobah, but maybe I should bench Zanka instead.

Bertrand may very well do something clever up front against Hudd, though!

Re: Who to Bench 17/18
Who should I let play; Ward-Prowse, Carroll or Cédric? I have Mounie in my starting 11 as well against Cedric. Also van Aanholt against Carroll. If JWP starts I would like him but that's not that likely. Carroll might get points with all the freekicks, but Soton might get a clean sheet as well who bloody knows...
