Re: Who to Bench 17/18
If Anfield Express doesn't deliver bad news, I'm seriously considering using BB this week due to fixtures. No idea what defence to play!
De Gea (ARS) / Hennessey (LEI)
(Bench 2 from) Azpi (SWA) / Davies (WAT) / Robertson (STO) / Tomkins (LEI) / Long (BHA)
And my attacking sub is Tosun (hud)

Sorry yeah I'd play Barnes.Highlander12 wrote: ↑27 Apr 2018, 11:44
Edge with playing or benching Barnes?
I'd double up on united, sure Bailly won't make a cameo. Long 2nd choice.

So do I bench De Gea (ARS) or Hennessey (LEIC)?

My defence is:
Long
Lowton
Robertson (rested)
Morgan (risk of a start)
Monreal (rested!?)
Who do I start with the Burnley duo? Or is it worth a hit to get one out as looks like Robertson won’t start.

Re: Who to Bench 17/18
I would risk it, personally. Morgan was probably rotated last time and remains 1st choice? Monreal could start so Arsenal don't get thumped too badly? Didn't have to do much defending against Atletico either on Thursday...Highlander12 wrote: ↑27 Apr 2018, 19:24 My defence is:

Re: Who to Bench 17/18
Having to bench one of
Smalling (ARS)
or
Dummett (WBA)
Looks like Newcastle are about evens to keep a clean sheet, Man U a few percent less (c.0.38)
But benching a Man U player feels wrong
Any suggestions?

Re: Who to Bench 17/18
I think Man United have got a better chance of getting a clean sheet as Arsenal will rest most of their team to prepare for the Europa league game against Atletico MadridSmurphy's Paw wrote: ↑27 Apr 2018, 22:55 Having to bench one of

Also West Brom seems to be playing better under this caretaker manager. So I would put Dummett on the bench

Re: Who to Bench 17/18
Thanks. Playing around since I posted this I think I may end up with both, the point about WBA improving being a good one though. I did have three Newcastle players for this 'easy' fixture. I am now down to 1 or 2, depending on price changes tonightowenclass wrote: ↑27 Apr 2018, 23:43I think Man United have got a better chance of getting a clean sheet as Arsenal will rest most of their team against Atletico MadridSmurphy's Paw wrote: ↑27 Apr 2018, 22:55 Having to bench one of

When I read the AnfExp news, I transferred him out for Smalling, so finger still hovering over the button. Will make a last minute call I think!Smurphy's Paw wrote: ↑27 Apr 2018, 22:23That's a good squad and great team value. Had Robertson been predicted to play I would have said, 'go for it'

Play Smalling, bench Dummett. I can't see Arsenal putting too much effort in with next weeks game. But I have to say that as I just brought Smalling inSmurphy's Paw wrote: ↑27 Apr 2018, 22:55 Having to bench one of

Re: Who to Bench 17/18
That's a toughie. I wouldn't bench Barnes as he's in the form of his life but then again there is a small chance Vokes plays I suppose. Mili can't keep getting pens and FKs but he's fairly good at assisting recently too. Dummett should get a clean sheet at home because Benitez seems anal about discipline but WBA still have a glimmer of hope. I'd probably bench Dummett as his ceiling is lower than the other two so you'd be least sorry if it went wrong...

If it's a close call I typically bench the defender. It only takes one goal to wipe off the clean sheet points.Sutter Kane wrote: ↑28 Apr 2018, 08:15That's a toughie. Chilwell is away at Palace so I'd bench him.
Unsure about the keepers - both decent shout to keep a CS. Probably play De Gea because Pickford is away.

Hurrah! After your "endorsement", I went with it, and the 4 I would have had on the bench ( Henn / Tomkins / Long / Tosun ) scored 25 points between them! As long as Davies plays tomorrow, & even if he doesn't tbh, I am happy with that
