I currently have Deeney as first sub and Salah playing, but I’ll be keeping an eye on Twitter rumours tomorrow morning to see if he’s managed the walk across Stanley Park.

As for your dilemma, I would say that you do have the bench in the right order. I consider Burnley’s chances of keeping a clean sheet to be higher than Newcastle’s but much less than evens. King is probably a two pointer as well, WBA are awful though
Cheers SP! Saw a bit of Burnley's previous game afterward, and liked the way Lowton was attacking. So went for him over King.

Btw, I've noticed post after post in this thread with queries. Not my business to tell how others should interact, nor do I claim to be even a decent manager, but I try to help out previous posters before posting my own question.

Can't expect others to respond if I don't respond to them. But that's just me

It does make a difference. It’s not the only reason I responded to your question but it is a factor

Indeed, there are bigger factors, like finding a common dilemma and discussing it. Or maybe even getting an idea for a transfer. Sometimes, we are in a hurry before the deadline. I'm no saint either!

But, like you said, it helps. It's why I write a post on this forum rather than, say, a comment on a website.

Thanks, that's where I am too. Can't see Bournemouth getting a CS in either DGW fixture, and Daniels seems to no longer have the attacking threat. Just that lingering doubt this is the week it returns...

Do I bench Masuaku at home to Stoke, or Cedric at home to Chelsea and away to Leicester?

Other bench players? Masuaku looked good last week, so maybe consider BB.

Seems like a BB 37. In that case, I'd (reluctantly) bench Masuaku.

OK, assuming I forsake BB and bring in Lukaku to TC,

who'd you bench?

BENCH ONE

- Lowton (LEI,CHE) (Tark in the XI) FFFix 5.63 FFS 4.73
- Chilwell (bur,SOU) FFFix 6.45 FFS 4.38
- Matic (WBA,bou) FFFix 5.60 FFS 5.31
- SGW Firmino (BOU) FFFix 6.08 FFS 6.15

for FFFix it's between Matic and Lowton
for FFS it's Chilwell, or eventually Lowton

I currently have Firmino :o

Otamendi or Francis?

Against Liverpool and United, at best I’m probably only expecting 2 or 3 points from Francis, but then at the same time I don’t see City keeping a clean sheet against Spurs either?

I think I’d bench Mariappa, though Firmino may be absent anyway if the leaked Pool line-up is correct.

I’ve got a few tough calls this week

DDG (ryan)

Azpi Smalling Lowton vertonghen (Morgan)

Willian alli son sterling (Arnie)

Lukaku vardy (Barnes)

Start Barnes at home to Brighton? Or in form Arnie? Over who? Azpi maybe but surely Chelsea will keep a CS soon. Maybe double United defence is too much despite being against a likely weakened arsenal. Presence of Aubameyang along might mean smalling to the bench makes sense?

It'll have to be either Barnes or Arnautovic if you're benching Lowton and Morgan. I'd probably play Arnautovic as I always side with the dearer player

Smalling (ARS)
Christensen (swa)
Lowton (BHA)
Chilwell (cry)
Dummet (WBA)

Which three to play of the above?

I'd just about edge with Barnes but it's probably a flip of a coin.

I'm playing 3 at the back and need to start one of Bailly, Morgan or Long. Bailly or Long would be a double up on United or Burnley as I have DDG and Lowton.

DDG
Vertonghen - Lowton - Bailly/Morgan/Long

Edge with playing or benching Barnes?

I'd double up on united, sure Bailly won't make a cameo. Long 2nd choice.
