Start one of:
Lowton (WBA A)
Ibe (WAT A)
Barnes (WBA A)
Morgan (BHA A)

I'm starting Lowton at the moment with a bench order of Barnes, Ibe, Morgan. Anyone do different?

DDG
Alonso Bailly Mustafi Lowton
Salah Mahrez Son Willian
Aubameyang Vardy

Ryan Barnes Ibe Morgan
Sounds about right. Tough one between Lowton and Barnes though, pretty equal there.

Who would people play between Duffy (Lei home) and Morgan (Brighton away)

Start three of Otamendi (eve), Jones (SWA), Dawson (BUR), Tarkowski (wba), Shaqiri (ars) and Wilson (wat).

Currently playing Otamendi, Jones and Shaqiri and having Wilson, Dawson, Tarkowski on the bench in that order.

I’d definitely start Ota and Jones, but I think I’d give Wilson the nod ahead of Shaq.

Shaq, Tark, Dawson would be my bench order.

I can’t decide whether to bench Deeney (BUR) or Milivojevic (bou) this Saturday. Any thoughts? Thanks

Logic says Deeney, it’s (one of) the fixtures I brought him in for.
Gut says that Deeney has done very little recently apart from keep Alli on the bench this last week; and Mili scores penalties all the time.
Hmm..

I'm playing Deeney, but my fifth mid is King Image

One way to see it is, Deeney could be a differential against Burnley CS. Do Bournemouth concede penalties? There lies the answer I suppose.
yttod1010 wrote:Bench van der Hoorn away at West Brom or tarkowski away at Watford
Bench Tarkowski imo. Burnley aren't keeping many CSs lately. Swansea are obsessed with them!
CptPugwash wrote:A question about 1 million people might be asking.

I considered this combination on WC and decided I would choose DdG over Hennessey for save points. They'll both concede, maybe Man United with a better CS chance with Mourinho and Man City's minds elsewhere.

Is this the correct bench order? (Important this week with Salah injured.)

A. King vs wba
Lowton vs wat
Dummett vs lei

King rarely gets returns and Lowton has attacking potential, hence the confusion.

Currently I have Salah benched and not even as 1st sub. Essentially I have already discounted the possibility of him playing unless I hear something firm to the contrary. I guess maybe I should put him in just in case but it's so clear cut for me that I hadn't even considered that till now.

What about if Salah is 'fit' and benched? Then it's a fairly likely 1 point if they decide they need him. I think that's more likely than him starting and scoring well. So he's at sub1 at the moment. I may change my mind though...

Thanks Sir Matt, although the point is probably moot. Both will play on the assumption that Salah is out.
I currently have Deeney as first sub and Salah playing, but I’ll be keeping an eye on Twitter rumours tomorrow morning to see if he’s managed the walk across Stanley Park.

As for your dilemma, I would say that you do have the bench in the right order. I consider Burnley’s chances of keeping a clean sheet to be higher than Newcastle’s but much less than evens. King is probably a two pointer as well, WBA are awful though

Barnes for me. Watford are porous and surely we have to expect a jose special to try and deny city the title this week

I’d Play Gross, due to injuries there’s a good chance Fraser will either play RB or RWB so might not have the same attacking threat as from midfield

Who to bench from Mariappa, Sakho and Lowton?
Currently playing Mariappa as he has a home fixture and had stated the last number of games.

Last minute decision:

Ake vs PVA
DDG vs Pickford (I admit DDG is clearly better GK)

Cheers SP! Saw a bit of Burnley's previous game afterward, and liked the way Lowton was attacking. So went for him over King.

Btw, I've noticed post after post in this thread with queries. Not my business to tell how others should interact, nor do I claim to be even a decent manager, but I try to help out previous posters before posting my own question.

Can't expect others to respond if I don't respond to them. But that's just me Image
