Team news ahead of tonights' @ChampionsLeague second-leg tie against FC Basle. "Fernandinho is much much better, as is Sterling. Maybe they won’t play but they may be ready for Stoke City. Mendy is back but he’s been out for six months, we have to be careful." #MCFC

Does anyone know whether Pulis' team have a few knocks? Or whether Dyche has confirmed Wood and Ward are touch and go? What about Sterling, is he much much better according to Pep?
"Pep coy on Aguero's availability at Everton on Saturday.... "Much, much better [but] we will see tomorrow...." #MCFC"

It's always interesting to hear who is touch and go in Burnley and who is much much better in City
No guarantees Aguero will return for the derby: "We’ll see," Guardiola replied when asked if the Argentine would be available. "He is much, much better, but the physios and doctor spoke with him and he said he still wasn’t perfect. I hope he will be back for Saturday." #MCFC
@BurnleyOfficial - SD also reveals that Ben Mee and @Gudmundsson7 are both doubts for the game at Vicarage Road.
Tom Heaton is available too.
No more information that I can find on Burnley forums or google than that. It seems that Mee is potentially also going through some contract negotiations, but that doesn't seem to be the reason that he's a doubt and with Burnley pushing for Europe I don't believe for a second that either player or manager would be involved in contract shenanigans.
Matty James has been ruled out of the run-in. The Leicester midfielder had surgery on his Achilles meaning he won't return until pre-season: "It is not a big problem but he now needs patience and time to recover," confirmed Puel.
Wilfred Ndidi is suspended following his sending-off [two bookable offences] last weekend. Misses the next two-games as this was his second dismissal of the season.
Puel to consider his options as James [injury] and Ndidi [susp] are ruled out this weekend: "We have three solutions with Iborra, Silva and Choudhury We will see for Saturday. We cannot replace Wilfred's attributes, but we can with a collective response."
Daniel Amartey is hoping to rejoin the group in training from next week. A hamstring strain has kept him sidelined since the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth at the beginning of March.
Palace are struggling in attack: "Benteke limped off today feeling his groin and we won't know how he is until tomorrow. No one new is back, so the squad will be thinner if he doesn't make it." #CPFC
Sorloth [hamstring] and Wickham [groin] both suffered setbacks last week.
Benteke considered a doubt after limping off in training: "I have just spoken to the doctor to ask how he rates his chances of being fit. He said, he would rather not say at this stage, so if he is not prepared to do that then I am certainly not in a position to either." #CPFC
James Tomkins has not recovered from a calf problem while Julian Speroni, Scott Dann, Jason Puncheon and Joel Ward remain out long-term. #CPFC
Dale Stephens [hamstring] "is still a doubt for this Saturday" but everyone else - apart from long-term absentees - have trained and will be available. "We'll give him every opportunity to be close though." #BHAFC
Sean Dyche confirms Tom Heaton comes back into contention for Burnley this weekend.
Saturday comes too soon for Scott Arfield while Ben Mee and Gudmundsson will be assessed ahead of the game. Both players are considered doubts.
Gudmundsson is at risk of missing out at Watford: "He is touch and go, but at this stage we’ll probably err on the side of caution unless he comes in and says he's absolutely clear."
Kurt Zouma trained on Thursday after missing the defeat at Arsenal because of a knee problem. Mame Diouf picked up a knock at The Emirates and Paul Lambert "will be keeping an eye" on both players. #SCFC
Charlie Adam serves the second game of his 3-match ban. Choupo-Moting [groin] is likely to be a few more weeks while a fractured rib will keep Stafylidis on the sidelines. #SCFC
Kevin Wimmer continues to build fitness with the U23s. Ibrahim Afellay has been suspended following an internal disciplinary matter and will not feature again this season. #SCFC
Sam Clucas "is ready" for Saturday "one hundred per cent". There were concerns that the Swans midfielder could miss the remainder of the season after limping off with a knee injury at Old Trafford. #Swans
Angel Rangel returned to full training on Wednesday following groin surgery, but will need more time to build fitness. No fresh injury concerns, only long-term issues [Bony / Fer / Sanches]. Jordan Ayew serves the final game of his ban.
Renato Sanches [hamstring] is still rehabbing in Munich but Carvalhal expects a return to Swansea next week. "We are waiting for him. Last time we talked he said he would be back on the 10th of this month. After, we will see how long [before] he is ready to play."
Kabasele close to being involved: "He has been training with the team this week,” said Gracia. “He is in full training. We will see if he is available at the last moment, but he is training with the team and he’s in a good moment.” #watfordfc
Javi Garcia is "confident" Deulofeu [fractured metatarsal] can play again before the end of the season. Nathaniel Chalobah is still "trying to recover" as he continues his rehab work away from the main group. #watfordfc
Craig Cathcart is expected to be heavily involved during the end of season run-in: "He is available. I think he is very happy because he is back with the team and he wants to help us in these last six games.” #watfordfc
Miguel Britos will return to the matchday squad after missing the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth because of illness. #watfordfc

Thanks Sean Dyche!
It's always so informative to know which Man City player is "much much better" and which Burnley player is "touch and go", isn't it?
After this season someone should really make a compilation of all the Pep's "much much better"s and Dyche's "touch and go"s.
It's a shame we have no more Pulis telling they have a few knocks.

I know, it's really boring when people keep repeating the same things over and over and over again, isn't it?
gazzetta.it reports quoting Mirror as a source https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football ... t-12311699
that Can back injury is seriouser than expected and his season is over, as well as likely his contract with Liverpool, as he's expected to move to Juve this summer.
Even his participation to this summer WC is at risk
Klopp on Salah: "I cannot make Mo available because it's a derby. You cannot push a player through the game, none of our supporters want to do that. If he's a doubt he will not be involved. If they're not 100% fit they cannot be involved." https://t.co/QpxNDSL2BI

oh right - haven't been following closely enough.
Similar question then I suppose ... does Pope have to balls it up badly/get injured for Heaton to get his place back?
Until TP, Billy, give us the inside track I suppose we can only wait or guess.
Fortunately my GK2, Hennessey, has reasonable fixtures in 33&35. Chips and cards will look after other fixtures. Be a shame though, Pope's point scoring potential is rated as highest in the game for the next few GWs, even better than De Geas
