GW37 Captain

Post by swadd1er »

I am aware that there are still games to play for PL clubs between now and Fridays 18:45 deadline but this week could lead to a lot of discussion about who you're picking as captain. I'll allow re-voting incase there are injuries, suspensions or change of mind between now and next GW.

I can only enter up to 25 options in the poll so i've gone with 24 potentials with an option for 'other'. Given that Spurs, United, Arsenal, Chelsea and City have DGW's I cant see anyone captaining a SGW player so I have only included DGW players.

I'm currently on a City player. Only own Sané but might bring in Jesus/KDB for the armband depending on games to play before 37.

Who knows. Really tough decision between Hazard, Jesus, Sanchez and Kane. If anything, I'm slightly favouring Kane as it stands for the differential; seems to be getting largely overlooked.

Im at the stage where I need to take a chance for a mini league so based on these results so far, I'll be going Costa

hard to argue with that.

really tough decision and could be absolutely pivotal for final placing and mini leagues etc, the penultimate GW of the season and a DGW at that! not all the big hitters will haul, but a couple will, getting the right one could cause huge swings and virtually no time to recover if you get it wrong :?

Doesn't look to be a clear choice, reluctant to go with Chelsea as think they will have won the league before the Watford game, and could only be a single GW or reduced minutes.

Sanchez looks safest for minutes but let me down so many times, Jesus could be rotated and City are spreading the points about.

JM already talking after the Arsenal game that because of the Semi Final on Thursday they won't be able to go all out against Spurs, last ever game at White Hart Lane, I'm also thinking Kane, sure to play & capable of hauls, and as mentioned by Notned could almost be a differential!

Kane at the moment.

Tough decision between Hazard, Costa and Jesus for me. Won't have Kane. Chelsea may have the league won before the second game so could give the fringe players a game. In terms of City, I have heard that Aguero may have recovered so perhaps Jesus not guaranteed to play both games. I have Sanchez but he has looked no threat at all out on that wing. With Welbeck scoring it would seem that he will keep his place up front with Sanchez wide still.

Thinking about a punt on Fabregas, otherwise it will be Jesus.

Also I intend to bring in and captain John Terry in GW38.

I was going to give it to Hazard, but he was subbed early today and might not play vs Watford since Chelsea are likely to win the league before that match (thanks Spurs) and I really don't trust Sanchez at the moment with it, even vs average opposition, that might change after the SOTON game, but currently I have;

(C)Jesus
(VC)Kane

It's probably going to be Kane for me. Him or Sanchez anyway, and I'm really unimpressed by Sanchez' form. Jesus will be a consideration if Aguero is out.

Outside chance I go Aguero though if he's passed fit as a gamble in the penultimate week. Depends if I finish this GW in the top 5k or not.

KDB if I had him but it's currently nailed on Jesus for the time being.

Two home games in a dgw is difficult to ignore.

Cech.

I always pick the wrong captain and goal keeper, so that move cuts the pain in half.
Laughs hysterically and wanders off to look for lost captain points !

Of all the doublers available this week, I can't believe people are still picking Sanchez. Even when Arsenal win he's still playing shit.

I flagged that game up as a potential 15-pointer for Terry a couple of weeks back, and I might actually join you in bringing him in and banding him. If not him, then probably Hazard.

For GW37, I'm leaning towards Jesus. Guardiola loves him and I can't see him being benched in any of City's remaining games, even if Agüero returns. As for the Chelsea boys, I think the threat of rotation for the Watford game is very real if they beat West Brom on Friday night, as they only have two days rest between the two games. Sánchez has appealing fixtures but his lack of goal threat rules him out for me, and many others too, I suspect. Kane is perhaps the next-best option. I think his second game is very tough. Leicester are at home and won't make things easy for Spurs, who will have nothing to play for. But the last ever game at the Lane against a weakened United? Could be a Kane haul there, for sure.

To his hands and feet, I presume?

I had planned to bring in Augero but his injury is putting me off. Hazard or Kane would be my next choices. Not sure about Jesus.

Hazard is a rotation risk and Sanchez just isn't getting consistently dangerous. Jesus for me. Pep seems to love him and City still need results.

Anyone selecting Sanchez needs their head looking at!

Reluctantly brought him in to cover my rival and he continues to disappoint.

KDB is 1m less and plays 90 minutes in a form team that has 2 home games vs weak opposition

City will end this season with a bang and KDB will be central to that

So I'm moving Sanchez out for KDB (c)

I may also be captaianing him for sentimental reasons  but he looks a good shout for some points anyway. Wouldn't surprise me if he did score and I am expecting him to be on pens.

It's almost like a fictional tale. He gets a chance to finally score the penalty on his last ever match (unless he plays the cup final). I just hope he takes a better pen than Makelele did.

I think FFix have Hazard projected to score the most in GW37; with KdB the best recent stats (from Erikssen 2 )(so go figure) but all things considered I think its a bit of a Lottery.

I'm going Kane. Thats a heart over head move perhaps. Its Spurs last game home at WHL; Man Utd may be depleted from keeping 1st teamers for Europa League, Kane is on Pens and Ive watched him take free kicks when he wants to also (and hes pretty bloody good). He'll be looking to go out with a bang, and Ill be looking to support him going out with a bang. My cash mini League is all but won and my OR is shot from too many hits & poor decisions - so this is the most fun option :-)
