Re: The Harry Kane Injury Thread
So...... just to pull this back into an injury news thread for a minute
4 week minimum, so GW33 best case
The initial prognosis is anywhere between four and eight weeks,.....Kane and the club are waiting for the swelling around his right ankle to go down before a specialist can make a full assessment.

I was hoping to bring in Kane with my next FT for LLorente but I have three players with flags, and kane even if fit is off the radar ATM.
Four weeks minimum out for him so i may change to a 4-4-2 and spend big on another high profile mid. That will mean a -4 hit though.

Discussion on 'what a good score is for a captain' removed. Please try to stay on topic. Any increasingly off-topic bickering is likely to see posters get their entire conversation removed, after which they may face disciplinary action. Furthermore, if anyone has any issue with another poster please air your grievances via private message with the poster concerned rather than in public - recent conversation would have been much better suited to that medium.

Tottenham Hotspur @SpursOfficial
INJURY UPDATE: We can confirm that HKane sustained ligament damage to his right ankle during Sunday's FA Cup win against Millwall.
The injury is similar to the one suffered by the forward against Sunderland in Sept last year, however it is not considered to be as severe
Harry will continue to be assessed by our medical staff while he undergoes his rehabilitation at our Training Centre

I have to drop Kane, is Gabbiadini/Costa worth a hit for Kane(already made FT on Sanchez)?Or just play Brunt/De roon and bring Gabbiadini in next week?

The choice is yours of course but I would bench kane and go 4-4-2 Carrol and Lukaku up front. De Roon - Sanchez plus ?-?. Who did you ditch for Sanchez and what is your midfield now?Shareef Babu wrote:I have to drop Kane, is Gabbiadini/Costa worth a hit for Kane(already made FT on Sanchez)?Or just play Brunt/De roon and bring Gabbiadini in next week?

Save the hit and play your choice of midfield and defence with Carrol and Lukaku. Bring in a Chelsea or Spurs defender next GW.Shareef Babu wrote:Sanchez in for CoutinhoOxford NZ wrote:The choice is yours of course but I would bench kane and go 4-4-2 Carrol and Lukaku up front. If you are going for Costa I'd do it today as he's fairly likely to pay back the hit, and is rising in price tonight, with Kane also heading towards a fall soon.
If Gabbi then I'd leave it a week as they play Spurs away.

Costa went up last night. So if he's missed that price rise there's probably no immediate rush now, with both Kane and Costa more than 24 hours away from a price change.jacksosi wrote:If you are going for Costa I'd do it today as he's fairly likely to pay back the hit, and is rising in price tonight, with Kane also heading towards a fall soon.

Re: The Harry Kane Injury Thread
Apologies, not sure why my FPLS was showing him at +102, several further refreshes and it now agrees with you. I still see Kane on -91 with a high velocity so he may drop tonight.
Not a deal breaker though, and I stick with my suggestions on the two striker options.

FPLS jiggles its numbers. They reset deltas if an expected rise/fall doesn't happen. Seems a bit iffy to me. But it's quite possible that the number has changed overnight.

Re: The Harry Kane Injury Thread
Costa definitely rose last night - I brought him in and have now got the extra 0.1.
I use FFF rather than FPLS to monitor price moves, so it was on that basis I said neither is likely to rise/fall tonight. Costa now way off another rise of course, Kane currently showing as tomorrow.

Re: The Harry Kane Injury Thread
Kane's delta was rejigged yesterday evening after FPL changed his flag from orange to red. I think they added another 20,000, so he avoided a drop last night because of that but I guess he'll drop tonight.Ruth_NZ wrote:FPLS jiggles its numbers. Yup, just deciding who for. Going to wait for team pressers on Friday as Firmino may have to give way (I also have Mane).Finisher1 wrote:Son OOP on pens?

I hope N'Koudou gets starts eventually. That could always happen with him on the left and Alli as a false 9.

So do we have any guesstimations about when he is back? I think they said he suffered a ligament damage but it's not as bad as the last time. That doesn't tell much to me. So basically he is confirmed to miss GW29, but what about after that? Is it possible he is fit for GW30 or GW31?

Re: The Harry Kane Injury Thread
GW34/35 maybe? Something around then I reckon. It may not be as bad as last time but it's a repeat injury so they'll be careful one imagines.

Re: The Harry Kane Injury Thread
If it's GW34/35 then I'd bring in Son at this very second. I could easily accept him missing GW30 due to his Asia duties, he would still offer good value through GW29-33.Ruth_NZ wrote:GW34/35 maybe? But what puts me off is all this mystery around Kane injury. I don't want to buy Son and see Kane coming back in GW30.

It's ligaments, Finisher1. I don't see how Kane can be back that quickly. GW34 seems the soonest to me. But of course I'm only going on what has been said.
