Maybe not Aguero -> Kane

Wondering whether

Phillips -> Zaha
is a more exciting one game pre wildcard punt than
Lallana -> Pedro

Saves another drop on Phillips. Probably a bit silly

Glad Zlatan didn't drop last night, now I can see if Costa makes it through the match.

Can exactly afford:

Zlatan :arrow: Costa (GW29)
Agüero :arrow: Gabbiadini (GW30)
T. Carroll :arrow: Sanchez (GW31)

This means keeping Agüero for LIV, getting rid before ars, che.
And playing King vs SWA, sot, before benching vs liv, CHE, tot

I was abroad so missed it, but does anyone have an update on the situation with Sanchez and Wenger/Arsenal? Wasn't he dropped, made some statement?

If he's gonna play I'll certainly bring him in, but is it unsure?

He played in a full strength line up at the weekend mate. I'm pretty certain he will continue to do so.. given the pressure on Wenger at the minute I doubt he'd dare do any other!

Have a couple of ideas in mind. I essentially want to swap Kane to Sanchez so I'll need a -4 to get there.

A. Kane & De Roon :arrow: Sanchez & Barnes.

Or...

B. Kane & Coutinho/Firmino :arrow: Sanchez & Gabbiadini.

Thinking Coutinho to either Alli or Son. Son would obviously be the big differential pick. Do people think his expected points are on par with Alli's?

I just did a quick check on goals/assists when both of them (and Eriksen) were on the pitch in the PL this season. There doesn't seem to be a big difference.

If Son is indeed on pens, it's got to be him.

Nice. Looks like that's my move. The only downside is that he's so cheap everyone will bring him in after his first haul without needing surgery to their team.

You are young, that's your fault MoSe.

Incidentally, while you and I are locked in mortal combat Joccki is laughing down at us from a great height. :mrgreen:

Stick I reckon. The boy Sané is really coming into his own. Son's probably good too but not for a -4 and with questions about gametime in GW30.

Still a long way to go though!

I was looking at my team yesterday night and think I will use my wildcard in GW32. In that case I will consider the next three gameweeks as a block and take a few hits to get maximum points potential each week.

This thought came up mainly because I'd like to have at least two and maybe three other forwards from GW32 and on compared to whom I'd like to own the next three weeks.

Plus I think Arsenal get interesting from around that time so I will need to take a look at Sánchez as well. Also I need to restructure my defence at that point.

This will probably see me doing T.Carroll :arrow: Son this week, which means either Firmino (mci) or Barnes (sun) first on the bench.

Yeah, I wrote about this somewhere else. When you play the wildcard you are kind of entering into forced territory where a lot of selections and transfers are dictated by DGW planning. Like you, I feel that I can get a better strategic benefit from the wildcard right now by holding it because that allows me to play the gameweeks immediately in front of me. Plus a lot of the players - Zlatan, Kane, Sanchez - that I'll probably want for the run-in are unavailable or uncertain right now.

Whether I'll take hits I don't know, my team seems reasonably well set with a few judicious FTs. But I'm now more inclined to play GW29-34 as a block and wildcard after that myself.

The actual DGW34 fixtures (when announced) will affect this too. But GW30 has become less likely for me anyway.

I know he'll probably be fit for this weekend, but I might even bench Firmino just to keep him for [EVE, BOU]. Does that sound silly?

T.Carroll :arrow: Hazard for me this week, I guess. Slightly prefer him to both Son and Alli for the next three weeks.

Keeping him doesn't but I'm not sure I'd bench him given how they tend to perform against the better sides. I'm pretty worried he might end up hauling and I've removed the wrong Liverpool mid, but time will tell I guess..

Well, I think I was a bit overreacting on the benching matter. But it's Firmino (mci) - if fit - or Barnes (sun) for me and I won't forgive myself if the latter does end up with a brace, on my bench. :lol:

Plus I've got Mané as well. I know cover doesn't count, but two mids away to City, hmm...

I looked at that for a minute but then saw the amount he's scored this season and thought not. He missed some chances last night too.

I've gone for the boring Kane :arrow: Costa

Didn't see many reasons not to really with Gabbiadini being away to Spurs and Aguero being inconsistent. Considered Rashford but Costa is a longer term pick if he performs. Think I'll probably wait a week for Sanchez just to check all is still well.
