Good point but it's the Merseyside Derby, you would have to imagine that both will play, if fit.

I think he's not being mentioned much because most people recognise he's a pretty poor selection.

That said, Everton do have two decent home games next 2 weeks so there are possible points to come if you're lucky.

Personally, I think he should only be considered if funds don't allow for better (Liverpool) mids.
I'm planning to bring him in (see my post just after midday today). I already have Mane, and want someone to play both GW28 and 29, before becoming Sanchez. For me, that has to be between Barkley and King, and I'm happy to take a very slight punt. (King in better form, but Barkley much improved recently, and undoubtedly creates more chances). There's nothing worse than taking a punt then getting stuck with that player for months (Redmond is mine, sent off on the day I brought him in around Christmas, and done nothing until last GW when I benched him) - however here I know it's only 2 games, so I have a planned exit... :)

I'm wondering whether Phillips  Liverpool mid is worth a hit; guess it depends whether Phillips plays

Any thoughts?

Oh absolutely.
But will he play 65 mins+ and will he be effective. That's quite a short turnaround when after flying 12 hours round the world the wrong way.

Perhaps overthinking but i can say that about all my prospective transfers this week! :D

Firmino, what are you doing to me?? Better be fit.

If not, just pray Mane is quiet as rival has him vs my Firmino :/

I'm tempted to do that too, Phillips certainly has to go, although Coutinho has been a bit quiet compared to Mane lately and I can afford him instead although that does block planned transfers elsewhere.,

I haven't watched Pool lately, is Mane that much better than Coutinho or is it a luck thing?

Coutinho has been taking long-range potshots, whereas Mane and Firmino have been getting in the box.

But if you're talking about following the luck, then Ville has just enough to upgrade/replace Sterling with Coutinho, although he has not made a move this week yet.

Ooops, my mistake. He hasn't quite got enough for any of the Liverpool mids.

Have Mane already, might avoid Cout and Firm and go for this for a -8:

Phillips  King
Aguero  Llorente
Amat  Coleman

Look ok? Leaves me 4m ITB for Costa or Sanchez in a week or two.

Took an unexpected -8 in the end;

Aguero  Llorente
Sterling  Mane
Phillips  Antonio

All three incoming players I'm happy to keep for at least three weeks, so each move has it's merits I think.

Aguero  Carroll
Phillips  Sigurdsson (-4)
Sterling  Coutinho (-4)

Have been applied. Mulling over an Amat  Olsson move, but not convinced it's worth the hit so think I'll hold off on that one and hope Amat gets another 1 pointer off the bench, which is more or less what he scored for me when starting anyway 8-)

Well, hello lucky. FPL Statistico says he's averaged 0 or me from one glorious appearance. Only 0.3 points per appearance less than 4 game Fuchs...

I checked and he has a 3.5 avarage for me (4played). More than Giroud, Vardy, Denney, Llorente, Antonio, Phillips, Valencia, Redmond and a ton of others that have stinked my team during the season...
He is a season keeper for me

Already rage transfered Philips out for King for a 4. Tempted now to do sterling to mane or Antonio. Have firmino but all my league rivals have mane. Ugh.

I really want to get rid of yellow card magnet Holebas and all the zero point scores as well

My main rival just made 3 transfers.

Option 1:
Sánchez  Mané
Hazard  Milner (-4)
Crouch  Lukaku (-4)

Option 2:
Walker  Mawson
Hazard  Lanzini (-4)
Crouch  Lukaku (-4)

I reckon option 2 is more likely, right?

Probably, but there must be loads of value combinations in three transfers. Even if you assume one is Lukaku are you sure they are the only options?!

-8 Mane Carroll and Siggy in for Ag Sterling and Phillips....

Pretty standard to be fair Mane in to cover what the majority of teams have already and Siggy and Carroll have decent fixtures for the foreseeable or until wildcard season!! Did debate Cout but wanted cover on others. Because that worked so well with sterling over Sane last week :/

I did assume one was Lukaku, yes. And that would ony be possible by selling Crouch.

He lost 0.5m in total value and he would have lost 0.5m only if he sold Costa already.

Assuming he kept his GW28 players, the only selling combinations I see, are:
- Crouch,
- Hazard and
- one of Walker, Sánchez or Alli.

I wanted to look into this a little more.

September international break -

Thursday 1st September 2016
Ecuador v Brazil
Coutinho played 30 minutes
Firmino wasn't in the squad.

Wednesday 7th September 2016, 01:45 GMT
Brazil v Colombia
Coutinho played 24 minutes.
Firmino not in the squad.

Saturday 10th September 2016, 17:30
Liverpool v Leicester
Coutinho played 14 minutes.
Firmino 90 minutes.

October international break -

Liverpool's fixture was on the following Monday night so probably irreverent to this research.

November international break

Thursday 10th November 2016
Brazil v Argentina
Coutinho played 84 minutes.
Firmino played 9 minutes.

Wednesday 16th November 2016, 02:15 GMT
Peru v Brazil
Coutinho played 85 minutes.
Firmino played 0 minutes but was on the bench.

Saturday 19th November 2016, 15:00
Southampton v Liverpool
Coutinho played 90 minutes.
Firmino played 90 minutes.

Is it worth to get rid of Phillips for an additional -4 and maybe get King?
I have 9 starters, 10 if I sell Phillips
I have 0,8m in the bank.

It depends on the structure of your team, but generally, I think it is worth it.
Even if he doesn't do anything tomorrow, it's only a 2 point loss, and you have a better player for the foreseeable future (while Phillips' fixtures turn very sour).

I don't see why not..

He's on pens and has a decent fixture the following week. He's bound to give a return in 1 of the 2 fixtures, meanwhile Philips rots on your bench and loses value.
