I only have 0.1 wiggle room for my favoured plan. Assuming price changes are still a thing (!) I may have to move before Wednesday next week. Worst case scenario is that City have a GW28 fixture anyhow.

Yes, but this cuts both ways. They are good enough for promotion(/playoffs) to take precedence over the cup so they may not necessarily field their best XI for a cup fixture where they are second favourites by a distance.

Yep.

I actually prefer them to go out - if I get Agüero and/or Sterling - so that they have a fixture in GW28 as well as in GW27.

It will give me 11 players for GW28 - so no need dor any other transfers - and means I can delay them leaving my team by one gameweek.

They're well in the race too, and are playing great. 7 wins on the trot in the Championship (to the annoyance of us Nrwcastle fans) and the most Liverpool-y style in the league. But, yes, I also doubt they'll play their first team - massive game against Newcastle 3 days later! They're still a good side either way though.

Newcastle actually play Brighton (2nd) a day before the Cup replay, so it's a huge week in the Championship!

Is there a lack of awareness of this potential switch amongst FPL players in general?

I just mentioned this to a guy who has been top 50k the last two years, but doesn't come here, and he knew nothing about it. It wouldnt be shown on the official site as it's only a potential change but I also didn't see any prominent articles on FFS for example.

I'm very grateful for the warning here, anyway.

John Stones at 4.7 is embarrassingly tempting.......

Yes, I think most of us were burned by him early in the season, but it's a pretty natural Brunt/McAuley > Stones given the fixtures. I won't do it for GW27 but a GW30 wildcard? Very tempting.

I was actually specifically thinking about the DGW.

-4 to bring him in but could return 12 points with 2 clean sheets.

Oh yeah John Stones. Up there with such disappointments this season as Redmond, Tadic and Gray.

I actually laughed out loud reading this. Then I had to make something up when the Mrs asked what I was reading.
I said it was comedy porn.

Ben Stones was like having kidney stones this season. Extremely painful to have and hard to get out.

I wanted to move him so many times but each fixture kept beckoning for me to give him "one more game" Jesus it was awful. Him and Redmond were pure cancer in my team.

Apart from Aguero i have been looking at Leroy Sané instead of Sterling, Has anyone else thought of getting in Leroy Sané or are you looking at other players?

FPL website already has Man City v Stoke showing in double gameweek 27 too, just in case you were worried.

(Though the formatting of the next fixtures on the team selection page pitch has gone a bit screwy for me - minor point)

Any specific reason why? I'll be choosing between Sterling and Sane.

Well I was set for Sterling as I thought he was more nailed and on form but the fact he played 90min in a closed game just before a DGW and Sane didn't makes me reconsider it.

I'll be having both + Kun. Looking forward to it (being a huge disaster again)!

Even though I spoke against it I'm actually quite tempted to do Alli  Sterling for a hit. I brought in Sane and Aguero for free so it'd be just -4 for three dgw attackers.

Basically because for the first time this season I could watch a City match (CL) and I thought Sane was their best and most impressive player.

I'm just at a "thinking" phase yet, as I haven't checked his FPL stats yet, and how the skills he displayed did/can translate in FPL pts, and in game time over clogged schedule

I honestly thought there was a bigger price difference tho

And I wanted to sneak in a "getting inSane" joke too

Why not start GW28 on the Wednesday instead of making a dog's dinner of the whole thing?

it is yes...but i am surprised. because they are hell bent on helping the casual fans who log into their teams once a week - with flags if a player twists their socks or has a runny nose. But here they have given them no chance to prepare. I'm happy enough anyways as i have grant sterling and stones - so it's just a straight swap costa for kun. But it takes a lot of the skill out of it when a lot of the others are badly snookered now, especially with the gw28 ahead, I think it would have been a good idea to just keep it in gwk 28.

As you say though - it will be a lot of fun. Having said that, I'm sure the likes of aguero and sterling wont play two full games so I expect these two gwks to even themselves out.
