A full 11 for me in the end (unless there are surprise droppings/midweek injuries), which is a bit of a surprise - I finally got round to voting. Perhaps the poll results will be out of date now we've had all the City DGW stuff and since we're closer to the time.

A -8 to do it for me, but all of the transfers will hopefully improve the squad for future weeks too. :D

Yeah, I could also field 11 with a -8. But I think I'll play 10 and just one hit. Suits me better in the following gameweeks.

same for me. I'm happy with 10, any further transfers would do more damage than good imo.

one hit to get to-
Foster
Brunt, Coleman
T Dav, (Phillips ?), Firmino, Snodgrass
Llorente, Lukaku-captain TBC.

Not full bore but with only a few points between a good team and an average team hoping for better OR and ML H2H than the last two weeks.

Foster [Grant]
Coleman FunesMori McAuley Robertson [Azpi]
Mané (C) Sigurdsson Fletcher [Eriksen Alli]
Lukaku Llorente [Agüero]

to add a XIth I could take a 2nd hit to do
  • Agüero  Carroll
    or
    Eriksen/Alli  Coutinho/Firmino(/Antonio/King)
but I don't think they're worth the -4p

BTW, is EVERYBODY IN FISO going to have Lukaku+Llorente?
except Billy Bongo who got Carroll, of course

is anybody fielding 3 playing fwd?
and would you count Barnes to that purpose?
he only missed last one being banned, he should get his place straight back -- I mention him as he's a popular 3rd fwd in a 352

I'm not going with Llorente. I'm sticking with just Lukaku and Carroll. I like the idea of Llorente as his fixtures are great for a while but I'm not losing Costa.

Think I'll stick with 10 with a -4 unless I hear anything about Phillips being unavailable again.

Carroll will score well for the rest of the season and could be a difference maker this GW . I don't have him of course and also no Aguero for the rest of the season as well as I swore I would not get him back before he goes to China.
Top scorers without club politics are getting hard to find, Costa, Sanchez, Aguero have all p!ssed of teams mates or managers this season. Kane and Carroll ?

Looking at these teams there's not going to be much delta in the weekly score bragging thread! Hopefully we'll all be a fair few points ahead of the masses though.

No Llorente here, as I would only have him for two weeks.

Two hits and fielding eleven:

Heaton,
Coleman, Baines, Brunt
Mané, Firmino, Sigurdsson, King, T.Carroll,
Lukaku (C), Barnes

Captain pick seems to be the main differential (Lukaku v Mane for most), and perhaps Llorente.

I think my double Hull defensive block is also a bit of a differential

I'll have this:

Jakupovic
McAuley, Amat (unlikely to play), Baines
Morrison, Mane
Lukaku, Llorente,Diomande (unlikely to play)

So, 9 but basically 7 though Diomande might be good for a few minutes off the bench. The only other thing I was considering for -4 was shipping Amat to Fernandez, partly as a longer-term move though I'm thinking it might not be worth it. Then again...

Amat managed an almighty 1 point off the bench for me at the weekend :) I knew he was worth hanging onto!

I have taken a -4 hit to get Mane in for Pedro and have 11 POSSIBLE starters now, but to be honest, I'd definitely settle for 9 starts from this lot:

Jaku
Brunt, Williams, Amat, Lovren
Mane, Phillips, Firmino (currently captain), Barkley,
Lukaku, Llorente

Bench: Grant, Pieters, Eriksen, Aguero

I reckon that all depends on your view on Eriksen. Personally I'd remove him because my ideal Spurs trio is Alli, Kane, Rose. Who to replace him with depends on forward planning and how much cash you'll need for other moves but I think I'd prefer Antonio or King to a 2nd Liverpool midfielder. Unless you plan to lose Mané later; in that case Coutinho is perhaps cheap enough to be kept as a SGW player right through.

Anyway, if it were my team I'd be taking a hit to remove Eriksen because that wouldn't only be an extra GW28 player, it would also be a structural improvement.

No, I won't have Llorente, not unless I relent and do Aguero  Llorente for an additional hit. But I do indeed count Barnes as a playing forward. In fact I don't see why he couldn't score against Liverpool. As long as he doesn't get sent off, anyway.

I'm only fielding 7, I just can't justify taking hits for any extra players in those fixtures.

I've already got Lukaku, Mane and Llorente. Anyone else playing it's essentially just a flip of the coin as to whether taking -4 to bring them in will have been a good decision or not.

Same here. Phillips being confirmed out could tempt me to opt for Antonio for an additional, but I had earmarked Phillips  Sanchez as my GW29 mov and would still only be fielding ten regardless, so possibly not worth it. That said, I suppose I could always still do that and move one of my Liverpool mids on the following week. I'll play it by ear, I think.

Jaku
Baines, Amat(?)
Mane, Siggy, Fletcher, Phillips(?)
Lukaku, Llorente

And most probably PvA -> Coleman w/ -4p hit

Has there been any news on Phillips recently?
Might take another hit on Phillips -> King. WBA has horrid fixtures and basically each hit is worth only 2p for blankers.

And while I am more or less only fighting in H2H money-league this spring it is now good chance to get rid of the deadwood here. (Next h2h match is pretty much already won as opponent currently has only Lanzini ja Jaku playing :D)

Jaku
Baines Brunt Coleman
Siggy Mane (C) King Phillips
Llorente Lukaku

£8.7m in bank

Went with King over Firmino/Coutinho as would like to keep him long term as a rotating mid whereas the Liverpool mid would be immediately ditched.

Heaton
Baines--Brunt--Smith
Mane--Firmino--Siggy--Phillips--Fletcher
Lukaku--Llorente

Also have Amat benched for hopefully a 1ponter if Phillips doesn't play

Jaku
Baines Mee
Barkley Philips Mane King
Llorente Lukaku

so 9 at the moment (or 8 if Philips doesnt feature), 9.3 ITB...

do you think it's worth it to do Pieters or Barragan -> Mawson for -8?

Only have 6 at the moment :
Brunt Coleman Lovren
Fletcher
Lukaku Rondon
Lovren is a doubt so this could be only 5, i wont mention the useless Holgate.

Have 2 FT but i'm reluctant to remove any of Alli, Pedro, Hazard, Sterling or Aguero.

So maybe i'll focus on defence by bringing Baines and a Hull defender, a Liverpool mid line Mane or Firmino looks a must as well.

I'm also in the 'considering Phillips to King but already taken a hit for the week' boat!

Will decide tomorrow or Sat morning depending on whether I think he'll start or not. As pointed out, they have WBA at home GW 29 as well, whereas WBA fixtures go downhill.
