I recommend Jones > Brunt. WBA have good fixtures through the blanks and Brunt has good potential for attacking returns as well.
thanks TF, (and Joccki too)
I'd have recommended Brunt myself too, alas

I know, bad team strategy/desing, but that's where I had cornered myself into

Well Jones, you were always a future transfer due to an injury, weren't you? (Btw, is it really "weren't you", or "wasn't you"?)

Jones-Walker done, one I considered heavy last week actually. I got two from both Everton and WBA in my defence-line, so not that worried about a possible Spurs blank in GW28.

Still undecided what to do with Aguero and my second FT

Who is your 8th MF/FW when playing AOA? You know that chip is best used in situations like this..

If not, I'd still recommend Van Aanholt. Good luck mate.

thanks :D

5th mid Fletcher indeed

big doubt vs PVA is how many CS will Palace keep?
sure, he'll get atk pts, but how lumped?
last season he scored 1 goal in all 4 january fixtures (3G 1A actually, after checking)
then 1G 1A in DGW37, nothing inbetween
what if Palace only keep 1 or 2 CS in the next 15? and of course he'll score when on my bench ;)

Phillips to Siggy done before price rise last night.

Siggy is different class so hoping that will make up for the tougher fixtures over the next 3 games.

Repost...

Torn on what to do this week, 1 transfer and £2.8m in the bank

Foster
Baines Holgate Alonso
Phillips Alli Lallana Sanchez
Kane Ibrahimovic Rondon

Jakupovic Ake Amat De Roon

Do I....

1 - upgrade either Ake or Amat to Pieters or someone around £5m
2 - De Roon + Rondon - Carrol + Lukaku for a hit (need to do both for funds)

Giroud  Lukaku
Jones  Van Aanholt (-4)

Better for this week, better for the blanks.

I'd bank if you think Holgate will start, and then use a couple of frees next week with some more information. IMO, you do need to upgrade one of Amat or Ake because your defence is a bit on the weak side, but it can wait a week. You can't take McAuley/Brunt or Coleman but you have plenty of GW28 players already so you can afford to optimise the team for a few weeks. I might consider losing Lallana next week and bringing in someone cheaper, or just going with Amat  PVA this week.

Thinking of the following for -4 :
Lovren to Coleman
Evans to Walker
Sanchez to Dele Alli

Did a boring Amat > Fernandez to strengthen the bench.
Amat seems to have lost his place so thought I'd strengthen the bench even though out 0.2 more.
Rolled the other transfer.

2FTs and have already done Rose -> Coleman
Might also do one of Pogba -> Siggy or Bellerin -> Baines or Giroud -> Lukaku/Costa

Very simple one for me. Jones OUT Brunt IN
I've got 4 arsenal and man u players so trying to ship them out before the GW26 blank and likely GW28 blank.

Loading up on West Brom and Everton players - also looking at west ham, bournemouth and swansea players

Daniels  PVA, Lowton  Coleman.

Benching Giroud this week then shifting next week, he's not worth a hit out.

Last minute decision..

Should I do Guzan to Foster for -4 ... My other GK is Valdes ..

The reason for this is Valdes is away to SPurs this week while Foster might get clean sheet against Stoke at home. Foster will also definitely play in GW 28 ( against Everton away ) while Valdes might not play at all..

but is this worth -4?

Not worth the hit for me. First of all, GW28 is a while away so you can't be sure you will benefit there (say Foster gets injured?). Secondly, we could only be 6 or 7 weeks away from a wildcard, so the time to repay the hit is minimal.

Not worth -4 imo, Foster would HAVE to keep a clean sheet to probably even just break even, and Valdes could get a few save points even if they do concede...

Cech  Lloris

Decided not to go with Foster and double WBA defence.
*Awaits the Foster CS*

I'm trying to adopt a more passive way of playing. At the first half of the season, I somewhat chased TV, took some hits and almost every single GW used my FT(s). Nothing seemed to work. Now, for the couple of GWs (3-4 GWs?), I've just kept my faith on my players. They all have, yet again, pretty much great fixtures so saved my one and only FT for the next GW.

As a sidenote, this tactic hasn't worked out either.

Did Colemon for Jones and shipped out Giroud with 5 seconds left of the dealine for a -4 for Carroll.

Figured ile get that -4 back on GW26 and 28
