New players added to the game
New players added this week -
Joey Barton (Burnley) 4.5M
Ademola Lookman (Everton) 5.5M
Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester) 5.0M
Gabriel Fernando Jesus (Man City) 9.0M
Rudy Gestede (Middlesbrough) 5.0M
New Arsenal defender Cohen Bramall not added, probably because he will begin with the Under-23 squad.

He'll come on off the bench for a while I think, League 1 to Prem is a big step.carver wrote:Is Lookman the new Bolasie?
2 of Mirallas / Lennon / Valencia will start games.
Also still sniffing about Memphis and this Jonathan Cafu from Ludogrets, so there'll probably be a first XI winger coming in.

Gestede might be worth a look as a small Anichebe upgrade. 5m is good value. He's quality.

I'm not too happy that he's been classified as a striker considering his goal record sucks.carver wrote:Anyone gambling on Jesus? City need a spark

Prior to that he won an Olympic gold medal with his country having scored three times in the men's football tournament in Rio and he was then promoted to the senior Brazil team, for whom he has scored five times in six games.
I wouldn't say that record sucked

Re: New players added to the game
He's got 27 goals in 74 games, so unless he chips in with a tonne of assists, I don't think it's good enough to choose him over other players, so effectively his record does suck in this sense.Britinus wrote:was just reading about him on Sporting Life....Football Hero wrote:I'm not too happy that he's been classified as a striker considering his goal record sucks.carver wrote:Anyone gambling on Jesus? Hopefully he's the next Adriano/Fat Ronaldo, but he could easily be another Robinho who also went to City and was priced around 9.0M.

It's a sentiment echoed by Brazilian legend Romario, who has high hopes for Jesus after playing alongside him in a friendly in December.
"For what he has done in a Palmeiras shirt and in a Brazil shirt, I can say that he is going to be our next great No 9," the 1994 World Cup-winner said.

I try to be objective in these types of situations so I get what you're saying, but it could just be a load of hot air since we're heard these kind of glowing praises before, and then the player goes on to under deliver big time more often than not, (which in a way is not surprising as the superlatives and comparisons used are often high).carver wrote:http://www.espnfc.com/club/manchester-c ... ity-attack

I will wait to start judging G Jesus's numbers and stats before making a determination on him, so for me he's very much a wait and see.
