Re: GW15 Captaincy Poll
Analyzing FPL assets among clubs, Sanchez is the player who needs the rest more than anyone. Diego Costa and Hazard are playing only once per week, Aguero is suspended (so he will play less than once until 2017), Kane's story in CL is certainly over, and if you take a look on the tables around CL groups, maybe it would be better for Arsenal to finish 2nd than 1st. It's only my opinion, to be clear.
Giroud needs minutes, so as Lucas Perez. I don't think Arsenal needs Sanchez to win at Switzerland, and Wenger is smart man. He knows Alexis needs to rest in order to keep his outstanding form. It would be surprise for me if he plays him tonight.
On the other hand, if Sanchez still plays tonight, I would seriously consider captaining Hazard or Diego Costa.

I will be honest I don't really follow champions league I didn't know Arsenal were certain for 2nd with little no chance of 1st in group ...if wenger doesn't rest Sanchez. He's an idiotPaulista wrote:Word on the street is that Lucas Perez will start tomorrow.yttod1010 wrote:There's no chance of that happening wenger always plays SanchezPayet wrote:If Wenger rests him against Basel, definitely Alexis.

Sanchez has travelled with the squad, Wenger saying that he wanted to keep the squad together and united. But with three league games in 8 days coming up, he's going to need to keep Sanchez fresh. we saw how quiet/tired he was at Old Trafford after the international break.

Re: GW15 Captaincy Poll
Very strange decision to start Sanchez given the fixtures, the probability of PSG not winning against Ludogorets, and assuming Wenger wants to keep underused Giroud happy.

Probably Costa, safer bet than Hazard and Firmino looked terrible against Bournemouth.

Re: GW15 Captaincy Poll
Evening everybody,
hope all are well
I'm inclined to give it to Mane this week, hes been pretty consistent especially at home.
That said i did pick Austin last week despite having Mane, Sanchez, Defoe, Hazard and Costa in my team
good luck for the rest of the season one and all.

Re: GW15 Captaincy Poll
Genuinely confuzzled this week. I've brought in Costa and tempted by Sanchez, but do we think Perez could play this GW and actually affect Sanchez? Mane could be a good pick, but he's not exactly consistent. At the moment Costa if he's fit.

I'm on Mane. His home record is excellent, and West Ham's away one isn't. Sanchez has a few blame at home, plus Stoke are actually really high up the table.

(C)Hazard
(VC)Sanchez
Hard decision. Currently got it sitting on Haz, might change it tonight. Sanchez played mid week and Hazards had a rest, but Sanchez is CF and in form EPL form and Stoke are decently defensively of late.
If that yellow sign disappears on Costa I might give it to him.

Re: GW15 Captaincy Poll
Sanchez (HOME fixture)- 3GS @ Home & 8GS away
Hazard (HOME Fixture) - 6GS @ Home & 2GS away
The stats slightly favour Hazard. Sanchez's GW13/14 hauls obviously skewing the vote.

Think this sways me towards Hazard and the mitigating factors of the UCL and Stoke have tightened up defensively.Beerfuelledman wrote:Sanchez (HOME fixture)- 3GS @ Home & 8GS away

It's a really tough choice, both teams in form, both players in form.

Plus the only one of those 3 playing a bottom half team.

Hazard (c), Mustafi (vc). My vice-captain keeps scoring high so it's on a defender this week
Conte said he's fine to play.djskope wrote:Isn't TrollCosta injured?Resonare wrote:Probably Costa, safer bet than Hazard and Firmino looked terrible against Bournemouth.

Re: GW15 Captaincy Poll
Could it be, that Sánchez doesn't start from the beginning tomorrow? I really have my doubts about that. He might be rested on Saturday to be fresh for the away games against Everton and Manchester City!
I'd guess that Giroud could start instead.

Looking at the fixtures, could be a high scoring week; captain lottery though. Can see plenty of games producing lots of goals. (cue lowest weekend goal count in Premier League history)

Re: GW15 Captaincy Poll
Hazard for me, Mike Dean being the clincher. Benteke is the only player I'd prefer but I don't have him. Anichebe (vc), forget the price tag, look at the form, the stats and the opponent.

Re: GW15 Captaincy Poll
I've got to choose between Mane, Firminho, Hazard, Siggy and Costa. All good games.
All got good games. Its on Mane, Costa (VC) but something is egging me on to put it on Siggy.

Re: GW15 Captaincy Poll
I woke up this morning realizing that Sanchez plays home with Stoke as a striker whose goals are counting +5 instead of Costa's +4.
The decision has been made.

Re: GW15 Captaincy Poll
Home form favours Hazard though. I'm on Sanchez at the moment. Either/both games could be 3 or 4 goals. Would be nice if all the popular choices scored double figures for a change. Although that never happens as FPL always has to punish someone, badly.
