First notable thing I'm going to do is absorb the relevant information from today's games, in particular the Arsenal game.

Sense says wait to GW15.
Sense did not account for yesterdays 5-0 drubbing of Everton and the price hikes that will ensue.

Re: What are you doing about Chelsea
I think the trouble is that sense said to replace the Liverpool mid(s) with Chelsea assets later. Chelsea had been looking good and a few managers had moved on the likes of Hazard already, but I don't quite yet feel that I want to dump my Liverpool midfielders (nor Sanchez) to get on board. I know that Baganboy has a slightly differing view on the shared points in the Liverpool midfield, and that is certainly looking the correct answer right now, but those Liverpool midfielders can also run up double figure scores.
Ultimately, it's looking like Sanchez or some sort of 3-5-2 contortion to fit Hazard in. The price change panic will die down after tomorrow so having lost out on last night's frenzy anyway, I may well get through the internationals without losing much more in the way of value, especially if it's a Sanchez Hazard move that ends up looking optimal.
Sterling is an absolute pita too, although his place his definitely open for a Hazard upgrade, it's how to fund it that is tricky.

I am disappointed there is no smug b*st*rd option for "I have had Hazard, Alonso and Costa for the last month or so"

Kicking myself I didn't do the -4 for Alonso after seeing a few 'risk-takers' doing it on here. Glad Hazard worked out. I'd have Costa too, but just my luck he'll get a blank in his next game and that elusive YC.

Re: What are you doing about Chelsea
I hate the price changes beating me but I will probably stay calm and bring them in no sooner than GW15.
I guess this is a good chance to make some ground (or chase ) casuals who are bringing them in for -8 only to play against Tottenham and City. GW12 will be hiding behind the sofa though.

I went Payet to hazard on a -4 and it paid off
But shuffling the pack for Costa Alonso requires me to sell Lukaku and bellerin . So can get them in three moves
Doesn't seem to bad

Re: What are you doing about Chelsea
Hazard is in my team for exactly 11 gameweeks now and I think he will stay there for 27 gameweeks more.
The plan is to bring in a Chelsea defender in GW15 (probably Azpilicueta), hopefully I'll have 2 FT's by then. Costa can wait until Lukaku blanks a few times in a row.

Costa has high ownership his price will rise slower and would be nice if he got the extra yc to slow him even further

I just did Mane --> Hazard, would like to upgrade Lukaku to Costa as well and Walker to Alonso, don't know where I can raise the funds to do that, probably means downgrading Stones and Redmond or Sanchez to KdB.

Re: What are you doing about Chelsea
I'm tempted by Pedro actually, 3M cheaper and this 3-4-3 system seems to suit him as nicely as Hazard, being on the opposite flank of Costa, with 4A 2G in his last four games.

Re: What are you doing about Chelsea
Wondering who would be his competition then? Willian? I think Pedro suits this role a lot more with his directness and seems to connect so well with Costa and Hazard. Also, with the change in formation for Chelsea, it seems to be he is playing that position that made him really effective when playing at Barcelona.Joccki_10 wrote:Don't think he is that nailed on though. Re: What are you doing about Chelsea
You'd definitely think Willian is a risk to Pedro, also if Zouma came in moving Azpilcueta to wing back and Moses forward?
Can't imagine why they'd change the system or personnel right now though so he looks as good as anyone in that sort of price range.
You may very well be right, and although I promised myself I would never own Pedro again after last seasons antics, he is actually a potentially very good solution to Sterling.

Re: What are you doing about Chelsea
I've gone Hazard for a free (even though internationals are pending), to get him in at 9.9
Lining up Bellerin - Alonso but not willing to take a hit for a defensive change. Thinking maybe one other defender if they carry on like now but can't fit Costa in, and on the fence with Pedro - doesn't work with the team structure at the moment

Yes me to, even though Mane just scored two goals I've done Mane --> Hazard.mitchyg1980 wrote:I've gone Hazard for a free (even though internationals are pending), to get him in at 9.9

Mane does a lot of take ons and loses the ball as a result, which means he does not get near the BPS, even after scoring 2 goals.
Hazard looks an essential now anyway, while Mane is a luxury.

Probably won't make you feel any better but I did Payet - Hazard, although I think (and hope) that Hazard will be more consistent scoring than Mane..ZeroRemorse wrote:Yes me to, even though Mane just scored two goals I've done Mane --> Hazard.mitchyg1980 wrote:I've gone Hazard for a free (even though internationals are pending), to get him in at 9.9

I brought in Cahill last week, have had Costa since about week 3 or 4, and have brought Hazard back into my team. A few weeks ago I commented in the STC that they had fewest shots in the box conceded and most shots in the box, think they look the real deal.

KDB Firmino Coutinho Capoue Fletcher
Aguero Costa Lukaku

I took your invite as an open one, sorry! Personally can't see a way to shoehorn Hazard in yet so will probably wait until GW15? Other than losing Costa or Lukaku there's no obvious way?

Yeah I wouldn't be selling Lukaku before Swansea at home.
