Look at the run for Southampton GW11-25. They play liverpool at home and spurs at home. They don't play any other title contenders over this 15 week period. Their toughest away fixture is Everton.
I'm thinking a double up makes sense. Charlie Austin and Cedric look like good choices. Redmond also has potential and you could double up with one of the more expensive defenders (Bertrand, VVD, Fonte).
Thoughts? Any reasons to be skeptical of Southampton? They look like a solid mid-table team and the fixture run will save benching/transfer decisions for a few months.

Re: Southampton fixtures
Europa League could tire them out, but yeah after the Everton game at home fixtures look good.

Rotation, depth and fatigue are going to be their biggest tests. Also their overall quality on paper has a little to be desired. But sure, solid enough and with a fixture run like that, it's not the worst idea.

Re: Southampton fixtures
Redmond only started once in the Europa League and he played all Premier League games for the whole 90 minutes except once when he was subbed in the 87th minute. He should be nailed on for the league games, but now you've got Boufal...

We have a very strong squad and a really good starting 11. I think this is our best team in the league, no weak links like previous seasons.ZeroRemorse wrote:Rotation, depth and fatigue are going to be their biggest tests. The only worry would be an Austin injury leaving us short.

Apart from a worrying habit of the full backs to get injured?
