Re: Étienne Capoue
There are always many that wait for the night before for a whole bunch of reasons but primarily so they don't buy someone who then gets injured before the game. Most players don't check price prediction sites but I guess those that do inevitably cause a run on the players that look like rising or falling over night.

If it's Dennis Lehane you're on, then how about...baganboy wrote:Gone baby gone.

Hey, that's the second on my list of to-reads on my Kindle. I am a fan of Lehane. Perhaps my third favourite current mystery writer. After Higashino and Louise Penny.

Not too concerned about his price tbh, got him for 4.5 and not in a hurry to get him out.

Gone! In comes Joe Allen. Banking the 0.2 difference and profit allows me to forward plan Antonio to Llallana or Siggy next week. Or could change foster for Butland, if back

Re: Étienne Capoue
I had my fingers crossed he would survive his drop until today and allow me to consider removing him to cash in today after the deadline, but it wasn't to be. I don't mind him as a 5th mid in terms of performances, the only issue for me is hoping that I'm able to use the profit in him at some stage.

Re: Étienne Capoue
Ah. Missed. Had designs on a brilliant / ridiculous Sanchez,KDB,Hazard move. Not to happen now.
Thank goodness though. It would mostly have been ridiculous.

Made the capoue > Allen move. Capoue was leaving at some point so decided to "make hay whilst the sun shines". Hoping to get some profit out of Allen

Will keep for now. Couple more decent fixtures for in-form Watford.

Same. Was hoping he'd survive the drop for just 1 more day. Ah well.Mav3rick wrote:I had my fingers crossed he would survive his drop until today and allow me to consider removing him to cash in today after the deadline, but it wasn't to be. Maybe he scores 2 goals and regains that 0.1?... maybe?... possibly?

He's gone this week ...for a 4.4m spacker free up funds and it's pointless having 5mil on the bench each week

Re: Étienne Capoue
Whelan is another possible or Coqulin for £4.3M. Ties up an Arsenal slot and he's not 1St 11 but he does play a fair bit; will never score and if he assists it'll be an accident but you know pay peanuts......yttod1010 wrote:Unfortunately not the guaranteed 2pointer kind ...it's going to be fletcher I thinkPaulista wrote:Plenty of 4.3 spackers going aroundyttod1010 wrote:He's gone this week ...for a 4.4m spacker free up funds and it's pointless having 5mil on the bench each week

Re: Étienne Capoue
Fletcher is marginal in the + financially Whelan marginally - but Whelan has a better fixture list and slightly better recent points.
To be fair it's a bit like choosing which testicle you want chopped off. Neither or who cares are the only valid answers

Re: Étienne Capoue
Yea that's true and they have shipped 19 goals in 5 games but keeping him is a gamble. He blanked this week and some of the mob will sell him anyway so retaining risks a price drop. True he may score assist and against Hull the odds are good. but if he does that won't help whatever value he loses this week and if he doesn't there is a prospect of a torrent of sellers. I guess it depends a lot on whether he's a bencher or starter for you.

Re: Étienne Capoue
Starter with Fletcher on the bench.
I almost tempted to ride a "whoever plays Hull" wave.

Re: Étienne Capoue
Yea that has milage also looking across the results so far It could be that there will be more concentration on the mid to top end mids and this weeks CS defenders with the base+ mids getting little attention. Riding it could be a fine plan

Re: Étienne Capoue
I see this guy as a massive threat this weekend. However, I'll have to decide who to bench - him or Stones.
Not sure if I should look for a MCI cleansheet, or take the risk and play Capoue...
