Collins situation?

Post by Reddevil22022 »

Does he play? If he does who drops out? Reid and ogbonna both highly rated. Thinking of keeping him on wildcard.

I'm on a wildcard at the moment and I've decided that it's just too much of a risk for me to keep him and I'm going for Masuaku instead. However I do play in a solid, yet boring and unspectacular way, so by all means, keep him if you're feeling lucky.

Collins will play a decent amount but he won't play ever week. He's old for a start, never mind the competition from Ogbonna and Reid.

Im tempted with Masuaku as well for more guaranteed gametime until cresswell is back. Collins does seem an FFS favourite though being 0.4m cheaper and more of a goal threat. The rotation risk is probably too much for me though.

Collins isn't going to be dropped anytime soon... 5m for a WHU def seems a lot when you can get Stones / Williams for the same price

It depends how you look at it, 5.0 isn't that much really, only 0.4 more than Collins.

I look at it in terms of price points... collins is a 4.5 def and at that price WHU def is VFM... when you move up to the 5m price point, you can buy into MCY or EVE def - which in my view will keeep more CS.

Obviously if you have a spare 0.5 or 0.4 then going for a 5m WHU def is fine, but I think there is better vfm elsewhere.

Any chance of Bryam holding onto his place now that Antonio is RW or will Arbeola get it?

I don't think so, not a wham expert bit can't see arbeloa not starting as soon as he is match fit, which probably won't be this week. I'd say byram has 1-2 matches at the most

Bilic mentioned a lot of Arbeloa's non-physical characteristics (e.g. experience) and him "strengthening the squad" which made me think Byram may be first pick, but 1-2 games is good enough for me seeing as how I actually need the 0.1 and Collins isn't really nailed on either.

I can get him out for Pieters/Robertson in a couple of GWs anyway.

Apparently Collins gaffed for the second Watford goal, so I'd say he's on shaky ground now.

All the goals seemed to go down Byram's side actually. Masuaku is safe from criticism here.

Adrian, Collins and Byram had shockers.

He sucks, I don't understand why I keep seeing people post about him on here and FFS. Is he a 4.0 defender or something? WH defence is bad and Ogbonna is clearly better than him.

Where the Hammers finish will be decided by Payet & 'friends' scoring more than their opponents. It will have nowt to do with a West Ham defence; which is best on a number of levels....

Byram not so much. The first goal doesn't go in without either Collins deflecting it or Adrian screwing up.

I doubt Adrian will get the drop and Arbeloa didn't even make the bench so Collins is the most likely to drop out.

Yea, took a punt for GW 4 but West Hams D looks horrid. Getting Walker instead.

A good result for the West Ham defenders that played tonight. A timely clean sheet, even if it was against Accrington Stanley.

Is it night night for Mr Collins now do we think? I still have him having bought him a few weeks ago and was planning on playing him this week but him getting dropped has scuppered the plan. I am now faced with the prospect of taking a hit to bring in another defender or playing Amat or Pieters (who both have horrible fixtures) with the already selected Valencia and McAuley.
