Re: What's your current squad value?
There is a definite trade off up to this point. After transfers:
TV £107.5M (Includes bank)
SV £104.9M (includes bank)
GW1V £103.1M (includes bank)
778 points
Ranked 311,311
With a hit incoming and possibly another if Kos has to go due to price drop.

Thanks, quite surprised I'm so far behind in value in here though! Missed a few bargains and not been willing to take many point hits for them.

Re: What's your current squad value?
TV is a clumsy measure, SV (sale value) & GWO (the cost of you current squad at GW0 prices) are more useful.ZeroRemorse wrote:How do you view TV rank? Current value is 106.6m
But TV is easy because the system calculates that for us
106.6 looks good to me although many FISO high performing teams have low TV because they don't take hits, there in lies a truth of the game

Maybe, but I think there's at least some validity in the "early hits for TV, late charge" strategy.Weisenwolf wrote:TV is a clumsy measure, SV (sale value) & GWO (the cost of you current squad at GW0 prices) are more useful.ZeroRemorse wrote:How do you view TV rank? Current value is 106.6m

In other words, judge at the end of the season whether the teams with high TV now, finished better then.

Re: What's your current squad value?
102.7 SV for me which I guess is about average. My rank is 150k which is disappointing given I was 25k at around GW6!

Team Value 106 including ITB. Would be a lot higher were it not for Costas rapid drops this week.

Re: What's your current squad value?
Just noticed a guy in my ML has taken 27 hits already this season, didn't chase TV (104.3m atm) and is on 1069 points (65.730 OR). That's pretty damn good for that many hits.

It is isn't bad although he's only 12 points in front of me and my TV is £3M higher which I think I prefer.Joccki_10 wrote:Just noticed a guy in my ML has taken 27 hits already this season, didn't chase TV (104.3m atm) and is on 1069 points (65.730 OR). That's pretty damn good for that many hits.

I went back to find this viewtopic.php?p=2670481#p2670481
which records I had taken 17 hits by GW25 in my rookie season, and it looked sesquipedal in the context at the time
btw baganboy, in that post you find probably one of my earliest references to the FPL Statistico tool and it was Feb 2015

This guy was on FFS earlier, he has already activated wildcard but before that had 109.7 TV and 107.7 SV. His planned wildcard team:
Grant (Jakupovic)
Alonso, Baines, Walker, Daniels, Wilson
Lallana, Alli, Sanchez, Phillips, T Davies
Aguero, Costa, Ibrahimovic
OK, he is at 200k OR after all the hits but man, that team is insane. The defence is almost overkill for 3-4-3. The midfield is pretty optimal apart from maybe you'd prefer Coutinho to Lallana. The attack - if you have the cash then is there really a better one? I think the CIA thing is unnecessary but with that kind of TV you can afford to be unnecessary I guess.

I'm post WC now and thanks largely to Alli I've just hit £108M.
His team looks good and he could certainly buy mine and then some
I'm sure he's a fine chap but I hope he cocks up his wildcard
