He could be a fantastic differential captain pick for GW4.

It would certainly be a pleasant surprise should he be available for the weekend.

So he wants to tell the FA that he feels like a new man..

Indeed. He obviously believes he has more chance of convincing them of this in a face-to-face meeting.

Whatever, it's a great stalling tactic to maximise his chances of playing in the home game v Hull.

I think they should suspend him pending the results of his hearing

It is a possibility that his club could decide to 'take the player out of the spotlight' and exclude him from the squad this week, but unless we hear otherwise Gray is turning into one of the better picks for GW4 and a cheeky bonus for owners. Hopefully not too many FISOers have already pulled the trigger. :D

Hull have looked great defensively though. United could only put a late goal past them. I think Hull will win. If LFC had any idea how to finish of lower table teams, I think we would all be calling Burnley easy beats.

I'm on WC and I'm seriously considering bringing in Robertson as a 4th defender based on his great GW8-15 fixtures.

Hull sort of remind me of Waford at the start of last season.

Judging from their immediate robust defence of him, and his request for a person hearing, it sounds like they have no intention of taking him out of the team.

I prefer to think of it as a "non-bonus for non-owners" rather than a bonus for owners, who selected him and failed to pay attention to the ban risk that was lurking from his 4 year old twitter feed....

I presume we're not likely to hear about Gray's punishment until after this weekends games.

For those who are wildcarding, will you keep him for a good fixture against Hull knowing he's likely to be serving a ban and an immediate transfer out the next week?

Or do you take him out and risk a Gray haul v Hull?

Surely you take him out. There are very few players in the game you can't cover elsewhere (i.e. must haves). Gray is not one of them.

I've binned off Gray, which is annoying as a replacement is proving a tricky choice. You don't hold a player almost certainly facing a ban when you're on your wildcard.

I've invested more cash and am currently on Benteke. The usual suspects mentioned of Defoe, Negredo and Lukaku possibles. Also thinking about Stuani of someone else cheap, and investing the spare money in midfield.

The stats are dark and full of errors.

I think it's past the point I'm interested in him anyway. He's on his way to a price drop now post-Hull (although he may not drop this week due to the early deadline) and that was really the game I wanted him to hang on for. His numbers are holding up ok for his price, but are nothing special.

If I can keep him for another week then I probably will, but if there are price changes involving him or replacements, then I'll sell.

Maybe the length of time between the charge and the hearing is commensurate with the length of time since the tweets were made.
