Last Minute dot Switch dot Confession

Post by blahblah »

A thread to confess your last minute (well 30 mins to an hour) changes so you can brag or be mocked later 8-)

I've just switched GK's putting Heaton between my virtual sticks rather than Foster.

Why? I kind of get it, keepers often get their biggest hauls in away games where they make saves, then get boni but away at Chelsea might be a Stamford too far!

I have successfully run a counter cheap GK thang where I go for Saves, rather than CS's; but I forgot all about it last week and played Foster

Heaton should make more saves, and the way 'Boro are playing, WBA are not guaranteed a CS, so I see Heaton as guaranteed 3 points, but Foster won't have so many saves to make.

Obviously this could be a kneejerk to last week's mistake, where the cheap GK at home to a top club is a banker for me - but my lil ole head was busy overthinking (as had to play WC) elsewhere

Had this weird strong feeling that City wont do well and Chelsea destroy Burnley this week.. Also, the fact that I am in ML where the highest point get paid each week and seems like everybody is captaining Aguero, making captaining Hazard is so much more appealing..

No last minute changes for me this week, but I love the thread and expect I'll be a prolific and ashamed contributor in future weeks

It's that time again, and guess who has left dumping Kun to the last minute 8-)

Current thoughts are:
Bony 7.3m, I actually think he is quite good, but he is not match fit and stoke are a bit of a no go area for me under "I'm a BIG Club manager" Hughes
Zaza 7m yep a CK, whi I know zip about except that he has a dodgy Pen taking technique; but he plays for a good manager (in my delusion) and could well have a decent line up of AM's loading his pistol.
Perez 8.5m he could really pi55 me off if he becomes Arse's No9 and I have to burn a transfer to get him in. I know less about this bod than Zaza, but Arsene Nose
Deeney 6.9m Ighalo 7.3m Rarely mentioned, and I haven;t watched them this season, but could well watch them tomorrow, and WHam's defence has been shite. Also their fixtures are quite, well very, good for a while except for MU away. But which one?

No one else in the price bracket appeals for reasons like Palace are pants and have lost one winger and the other wanted out; a WBA forward is so wrong; Negredo seems like an earl season FF bust on the the basis of a few points.

From here: viewtopic.php?f=99&t=122068&start=30 - feel free to post the usual FISO bollox there

Apparently Perez is poised to start, so has emerged as the current fave and may be honoured with my band :?

Wow that would be a ballsy move... But at least it's not a week where 90% of people are on Aguero, so if it goes wrong, at least hopefully you'll only lose out to the 20-30% of players who choose the 'right' one. (Unless of course Hazard, Ibra and Sanchez all go nuts, then you're in trouble... lol)

Mine will be having Sanchez as captain all week, but switching to Hazard yesterday. I'll be mildly irritated if Sanchez goes crazy.

I have Hazard and Zlatan, so will only lose out on the difference; but Sanchez.... Perez may get Goals\Assists as part of the Sanchez windfall?

Thing is does he start? Is he any good? He is a CK.....

The worst that can happen is that he just becomes Kun in a few FW's after picking up a couple of points?

Mane > Cazorla Captain...

Looking for a differential this week to catch up on some poor early weeks. Don't trust Ibra to not get a card.

Well of course he's Arsenes first choice transfer and Arsene has a history of picking excellent strikers so you have nothing to worry about

It's true, why the shock?

Evans gives me .1, Costa the same (have Hazard so didn't want a double up), Lukaku has better fixtures (in my mind anyway) and I suppose Antonio is a bit of a punt but I fancy him to do well.

Gone for Hazard (C) over Costa. 11.29 decision

Really fancy Costa to do well, but the thought of a possible 1p clean sheet, Hazard being decent for bonus and the penalty taker I decided to follow the crowd.

Also Costa I think has more chance of being subbed for Bats should the game be 2-0

I dumped Costa and Barkley before the Kun ban 8-)

Similar reasons as well as chasing some cash, so good luck - oh and a Red for Costa before the 60th minute

Did the same. I need the cash and I don't think there will be much between them come the end of the season. Also did...

Jakupovic  Pickford
McAuley  Evans, need the 0.1
Holgate  Williams
Shaw  Valencia, screwed by the injury scare, planned to bag the 0.1 here)
Fer  Antonio, I think a new budget 4th mid will emerge in a few weeks time
Forgot who  Byram, willing to take a punt for a few weeks here before shifting him to Stoke/Hull defender if it doesn't work out
