GW2 Captain - Who gets the armband?

Post by Arhaych »

Not as obvious this week.

Man City have a fixture in Romania tonight so I'd be wary of Aguero this week. Ibra is also playing in an early kick-off which I also usually tend to avoid, purely a superstition thing.

Hazard for me this week.

Was burned last week but I'm very tempted to double down in Vardy again this week against Arsenal after the gunners' performance against Liverpool.

Alli - at home to Palace... I see a comfortable home win

Put Kane in my opening squad with a view to captaining him in GW2, so I'll probably go with that; but I thought he looked a bit short of whatever it is in GW1 so he's not a cert.

Really tough one, but I think Vardy, could've had a few vs Hull and obviously Arsenal have defensive woes issues. Xhaka could make a difference, but I think Leicester will want to bounce back after the awful Hull performance, so I expect them to go out with a point to prove.

If I'm in a punting mood by Friday, I might (C) Ali.

Not sure Aguero will be as prolific under Pep this season, I'm under the opinion Pep is a very overrated manager, Bayern lost their edge and City need to be direct with their sort of players. They don't have the play-makers like Barca and even Bayern, even though he's trying to turn Silva into one.

Cheers. Got the C on him at the moment. But possibly a switch to Hazard.

Ibrahimovic (C)
Aguero (VC)

...though probably should go with Hazard & Vardy who'll score a brace each...

Fingers not burnt after captaining Gray at the weekend?

I went with Aguero last minute, that was one regret I don't have. Gray was very unlucky though, if you watched the game.

Leaning towards Kane. Spurs are often strong at home. Palace are woeful. Can see spurs getting a few goals here

Aguero. That's the reason we pay £13.0 for him.

After Bournemouth's defensive display a WHam attacker could be tempting, but Ayew got crocked.....

Will probably bottle it and go with the Aguero comfort blanket, but I'm pretty tempted by either Hazard or Firmino. Particularly the latter.

Aguero just missed a penalty against steaua bucuresti.
Aguero has just missed another penalty against steaua bucuresti.
Will this force pep to take Aguero off penalty duty?

tough choice this weekend, Stoke away in the league is something of a bogey fixture for City, think they have only won one PL game there in the last five years? add this to the midweek fixture and I'm reluctant to captain Aguero.

fancy Ibra at home but hate early kick off captains so I'm leaning towards Hazard.

Kane and Carroll/Payet look the best options but I haven't got any of them!

The last time City played at stoke away they lost 2-0.
But the time before that they won 4-1 with Aguero scoring 2.

Aguero with a double so far tonight, could've had 4 if he stuck those penalties away. City full of confidence, Aguero (c) for me.

dec 2015 2-0
feb 2015 1-4
sep 2013 0-0
sep 2012 1-1
mar 2012 1-1
nov 2010 1-1
feb 2010 1-1
jan 2009 1-0

One league win at Stoke in seven years, doesn't mean much I suppose just pointing out that historically Stoke is not a good ground for City, and for the betting men out there, how many draws!?

That does look worrying, i'm still undecided myself but leaning towards Aguero I think.
