Probably a few knee-jerks to Lukaku after today's games.

Next week against Spurs could be a very open game, end to end stuff, and after next week, Man City have West Ham, Bournemouth, and Swansea, so he could score very well in those games.
I've make the point regularly that mobility of prices is a good thing but I have to agree with folk like Ruth_nz when they question the aggressiveness of KJ transfers with the current formula.

City looked poor & with Lukaku & Kane grabbing a haul, Giroud maintaining his goal a game, excellent in form budget options like Defoe, Crouch and so on coupled with a desire to shift cash to the mids for Alli/Eriksen/Coutinho & cheapies like Antonio, Mirallas and so on there is enough pressure that Aguero could drop a fair bit on the back of one blank.

The irony is that I want to keep hold but if it looks like a collapse I will inevitably make it worse by joining the herd :?

Spuds could spank Citeh?

As I typed it, I realised that both Leicester and Everton went long against Citeh, so maybe not? Still Pep has to do something to turn this implosion round imho viewtopic.php?p=3004766#p3004766.

Baines nowhere near on FFF but almost there on FPLS.

Thoughts? Worth waiting?

I moved today, just in case. Having settled on my transfer there's little point in waiting.

Agreed if you are settled.

I am dithering because to afford him i need to sell Benteke and dont know who to bring in as my 3rd striker.

I don't think he will rise tonight but I would expect him to before the weekend.

Up: Lukaku
Down: Costa, Vokes

Once again, Hazard dodges the drop.

If only he rediscovered his ability to dodge defenders and put the ball into the back of the net, with the same dexterity that he manages to skirt the price drop line!

Hazard is owned by far to many managers of dead teams and managers waiting for the good time to roll again to drop in price. I will hold onto him for the season I think.
I did think about selling him this GW to afford to buy back Costa. Hazard  Snodgrass and Crouch  Costa -4
Please let him score and assist this GW

I think that's wishful thinking; I'd be surprised if he didn't drop this week

Triggerlips had a good old moan about the price change system today. I agree with his stance, it's similar to what I posted here about the flags and the price changes and why I now ignore everything.

He does go off and blame FFS for a lot, I do partially blame them for the flags (FPL clearly have the final say but it's obvious that their primary, perhaps only data source is FFS) but I don't think they have much blame in the price changes, well beyond recommending players. I think its mostly the flagging causing drops that has been the problem though, as I've said before I don't think the rises have been too bad.

tonite will be the last change nite for GW23
then tomorrow we'll have the deadline at 18:45 gmt and tomorrow nite changes will pertain to GW24

I wonder whether we'll have the usual surge of pre-deadline transfer activity, considering it's monday
so far there have been 11 risers in the round, all by 0.1m
https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/sta ... ange_event
and 33 fallers, only 3 thereof by 0.2m
https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/sta ... event_fall
Hazard, Lallana, Origi

According to FFFix:

Gabriel Jesus has a progress of 30.40% per hour.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has a progress of -7.20% per hour, with a home game against Watford up next.
Harry Kane has a progress of -5.70% per hour, with no blanks in his next three.
Alexis Sánchez has a progress of -3.70% per hour, with a home game against Hull up next.

Patience is a virtue. The FPL world has gone mad.

Well it shows that the 'masses' go for form 100%. Are they right; are we right any more to take fixture into account as much as we do? Teams seem to raise their game against the big boys? Sanchez hasn't been the force at home that he is away and Hull are now no mugs; ManU seem to love away as well, they often stutter at home...

Fully agree. Alexis and Zlatan are probably the best 2 captain contenders next week. I'm delighted to have both and will ignore any price drops.

I can see the attraction of de Jesus but if people imagine he won't be subject to Pep's wheel of rotation then I think they will be disappointed. I wouldn't be using a FT for him before (probably) 2 blanks in 4 weeks in any case. :?

Not sure I agree as Hull are improving fast? That said I would need a very good reason to shift Sanchez. While Zlatan doesn't go big that often?

I'm looking to Swansea against the worsening Leicester for my Capt.

Everton have tasty fixtures (and an extra match) which means Lulukaka to Jesus is decidedly on hold.

Masses are like car drivers, flags are their traffic lights and the scores of the current gameweek are their signposts. They are really so predictable, they do whatever flags and the latest points tell them to do.

Some bizarre trading this week:

Kane rose Saturday night and is now hurtling towards a drop.

Phillips is being sold despite being cheap with points potential and no blank weeks upcoming

Daniels is being ditched for an injury he's likely to be over by next weekend and he's no GW 26 blank either.

Pedro dropped Saturday night and is now heading upwards again

Masses are buying Siggy to play Chelsea next week.

I realise Jesus has had a couple of good GW but he's up for blank weeks too yet he's flavour of the week

It's all a bit barmy.....

Question - when this game week is over and the red flags come for Arsenal Southampton City & Utd is there a freeze on prize and if yes how many days. ?

Cheers

I don't want to lose Sanchez and intend on benching in the blank weeks.

Agree with most of that but this one isn't so strange. His return date isn't confirmed and Bournemouth are conceding by the bucketload. Then it only takes a few increments to upgrade to the likes of Coleman/Baines or just swap to Brunt/McAuley, etc
