Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
Who should I play out of Capoue (EVE) or Philips (che)? My policy is normally to play form over fixtures but Phillips' points have come against Burnley, Hull, Watford and Leicester. Can see Chelsea being a lot tougher to break down.

Bench Amat (SUN) or Brunt (che)?
Amat has slighly better chances of a clean sheet, but Brunt has much greater attacking points potential.
Was leaning towards Amat but it just make my team look bad.

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
So need to bench 2 (and only 1 defender max) of
Cedric home to Boro
Holebas home to Everton
Can home to the 'ammers
Allen away to Arsenal
My immediate thoughts were to bench Allen & Holebas but it's less than clear to me

This is something that's playing into my Austin issues. Even before that really, I was looking at Amat and thinking "I don't want to play him" in any game.Weisenwolf wrote:I'd bench Amat every time no matter who is playing whomatmutte wrote:Bench Amat (SUN) or Brunt (che)?

He's only averaging a point per game it would hardly matter if he was injured for the rest of the season.Mav3rick wrote:This is something that's playing into my Austin issues. I'm mulling over using the 5th defender as a spot just to jump onto bandwagons to pull out the odd .1M just not sure I want to tie up additional funds doing it.

You thinking of dropping the Austin price point and getting a better defender?Mav3rick wrote:This is something that's playing into my Austin issues. Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
Amat's only virtue is that he plays so you may get a point. Holebas may do no better but he could, there is a chance.PokerGod1900 wrote:Play Holebas (EVE) or Amat (SUN)?

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
I'd say Holebas. Clean sheet likelyhood are pretty much the same IMHO, but Holebas can always pick up attacking points which Amat does not have.PokerGod1900 wrote:Play Holebas (EVE) or Amat (SUN)?

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
I struggle with the same, and for once it actually is a realistic option to play Amat. However, Amat is currently on my bench as well, and I think I'll end up playing Holebas, for the reasons mentioned by others already.PokerGod1900 wrote:Play Holebas (EVE) or Amat (SUN)?

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
Yeah, I can upgrade to Alonso and change the squad structure, or stick with Austin and see what happens. Amat is on 4 yellows too so he might even pick up a ban just when he's needed.Weisenwolf wrote:You thinking of dropping the Austin price point and getting a better defender?Mav3rick wrote:This is something that's playing into my Austin issues. Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
Clearly you have to bench Grant. I don't really fancy Swansea and Middlesbrough are a good defensive unit, so I'd also bench Amat. The odds though say Swansea have the better chance of a cleanie:dean1980 wrote:Bench one of Pickford (swa) or Grant (ars) and bench one of Amat (SUN) or Gibson (sou)

Would play Holebas over Amat. But bench one out of Amat (Sun) Evans (che) Pieters (ars)?

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
Currently benching Valencia (TOT), Brunt (che)
Playing Alonso (WBA), Lovren (WHU), Ake (bur)
Based on fixtures this looks right but it doesn't feel right. At all.

Yeah, and that's pretty much my decision made. Figure I can swallow any Austin price drop and just bench him instead of transferring.Mav3rick wrote:Tough call, I'd not want to bench any of those really.Owsler wrote:Bench one of Siggy, Firmino, Anichebe

38' Jordi Amat from Swansea City heads wide.
61' Jordi Amat has a great chance to score, but his header is turned behind for a corner by the keeper!
