Need to bench 2 of;
Stones (SWA - A)
Valencia (LEI - H)
Evans (STK - A)
Reid (SOU - H)
At the moment playing Stones & Evans, but not sure about benching the 2 that are at home...

Would it be worth to take a hit in the last 15 minutes by doing Shaw Clyne/Lovren?Scottoffee wrote:Shaw's surely out no?Joccki_10 wrote:Bench Shaw (LEI) or McAuley (stk)?
Says he wants to play through the pain, but cant see the logic in Jose risking worsening it...
EDIT: And thus still benching McAuley.

DEF: Play Holebas (BOU) or Koné (WBA)?
MID: Pretty set on Capoue (BOU) over Snodgrass (CHE).
Maybe play Foster (sun) and Holebas (BOU)?

Thanks for input. Pickford due to home advantage, or is it another reason behind your suggestion?Joccki_10 wrote: Pickford and Holebas.

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
Yep. You have two defensive players from Sunderland. They play WBA at home, which is one of the few games you want to play that kind of players or there is no reason for them to be in your team at all. (Pickford as a 4.0, I know. But still...)19Yorke wrote:Thanks for input. Pickford due to home advantage, or is it another reason behind your suggestion?Joccki_10 wrote: Pickford and Holebas.

Play Lloris. In spite of conceeding a goal or two, I think he's set to make at least 6 saves, which brings you 3-4 points depending on how much (if) he conceedes.bigcliff2 wrote:Getting this one in early:

Snodgrass (CHE) or Capoue (BOU)?
Would have been much easier this time last week, but Watford's performance last night and Chelsea's defending at the weekend have me leaning towards playing Snoddy?

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
I think there will be a few "or Capoue"s this week. Capoue probably just edges Snoddy IMHO. Chelsea look shaky at the back, but more so to pace and movement which I don't automatically equate to Hull City.Notned wrote:Snodgrass (CHE) or Capoue (BOU)?

I am currently wrestling with Iwobi vs Capoue.

That's going to be a tough decision. Didn't realise I have to choose between these two, myself. Your reasoning has me playing Snodgrass at the moment.Notned wrote:Snodgrass (CHE) or Capoue (BOU)?

You're spot on there; my decision is Capoue or McArthur ?Fuzzy wrote:I think there will be a few "or Capoue"s this week. Capoue probably just edges Snoddy IMHO. McArthur has netted in his last two games and got 20 points as a result BUT those games were against Stoke & Sunderland and he is facing Everton away this week so I will probably go for Capoue and put the Burnley game down to a bad day at the office.

Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
Capoue or Redmond. Yes Redmond has blanked several matches in a row and having a tough game against Leicester away. But considering Redmond because Soton is picking up form and is really dangerous and fast on counters and probably Redmond is better against Capoue regarding creating chances himself (though he is wasteful). And still leicester defence is no where near as good as it was in the second half of last season.
3rd alternative would be just cold heartly play both of them on a 3-5-2 and bench Benteke (Rash and Aguero up front). Quite a predicament I'm having.

Lots of tough decisions center around Capoue then! Would have been much easier had he done something Monday night!
Now toying with the idea of leaving Baines for now, rolling the transfer and going AOA..

That is a tough one... I'd probably just pick a name out of a hat - honestly. I'd defininitely consider Benteke as an option too btw. In fact, gun to the head, that's who I'd benchinward wrote:Capoue or Redmond. Yes Redmond has blanked several matches in a row and having a tough game against Leicester away. Re: Who To Bench Thread 2016/17
I'd bench Redmond. I get his position makes him a potential asset, but he's not delivering.
I'm tempted by AOA this week (either Snodgrass or Sterling/Son would be the extra midfielder). At the moment I'm playing:
Foster
McAuley, Williams, Walker
It's goal threat rather than cleansheets. Come to think of it is anyone thinking about cleansheets anymore?
Do I stick with this or bring in Smith or Friend (Jakupovic has Chelsea and may not start)?

West Brom are top of the clean sheet rankings with 2Owsler wrote: Foster

Eleven sides have kept 1 clean sheet: Boro, Eve, Chels, Man U, W Ham, Hull, Spurs, Burn, Leic, Arse, Swans.
Clean sheets very hard to come by so far this season.

Bench one of:
Capoue (BOU)
Stones (tot)
Vertonghen (MCI)
A. Smith (wat)
All of which could be irrelevant if Baines doesn't make it.

I'd play Snodgrass. Takes every set piece going for Hull and is always involved in their chance creation.Notned wrote:Snodgrass (CHE) or Capoue (BOU)?
