I'm fairly sure that Friend plays left back, and Fabio has been covering for him.

How nailed on is Nyom? I've seen rumors that Brunt may get moved to left back to make room for other midfielders. A Pulis defender for 4.3 is a great enabler.

Re: Defensive Gems 16/17
I asked the same question on the previous page and didn't appear to get any answers.... I went for Evans at 4.5 instead, even before his goal, because Pulis has burned me before chopping and changing the cheaper / less established defenders that I've brought in to save money, in mid season.Turd Ferguson wrote:How nailed on is Nyom? Sorry this isn't really an insightful answer but just explaining what I did largely based on a hunch. You may well be fine with nyom.
PS Nyom has African Cup of Nations duty next month....

I think that settles it for me. I'll likely free up some funds to do Nyom > Valencia. Maybe take a gamble on Phil Jones depending on what happens in today's game.OIEIAO wrote:Turd Ferguson wrote: PS Nyom has African Cup of Nations duty next month....

At Crystal Palace was never a good shout for a CS. 5th in league in goals with underlying stats to suggest they are well above average attack.Joccki_10 wrote:You can have him if they keep conceding.SuperGrover wrote:Bailly hurt again. Seems Jones place for a good while now.

in 14 GWs, he was injured 3, and twice not in squad
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/daryl-ja ... plus/1#GB1
of his 9 appearances, he started 6, two thereof getting subbed off before 60' (1 injured, 1 tactical*), and 3 times he subbed in
(* in last match, transfermarkt counts 60', but FPL always counts 1' less thus 59')
Mazzarri tinkers a lot, he'll sure get playing time, but not regularly
he thus played ONLY FOUR 60'+ games out of the 11 he'd been available,
in none of the 4 the team kept a CS, thus effectively he got no CS pts in FPL this season (the team only kept 3 in 16)
he scored the consolation in the Liverpool defeat, and assisted one in the Utd win
he picked up no YC, but no Bonus pts either
he never reached 0.3% ownership, still he had enough to drop twice in his injured spell,
and once more now immediately after last midweek deadline, before even playing GW16 match
if you like Hornets fixtures, and can afford an extra 0.1m, there's Holebas in the same club
otherwise Prodl at 4.5m, and much more nailed on
with comparable fixtures and plenty of options in the same price range (or cheaper) you might look at 'boro, or Swansea
or Utd PJones at 4.8

Not a clue, I have Holebas, or one of his various spellings and have no interest in another Watford defender
But the bod from Newcastle isn't first choice.

Re: Defensive Gems 16/17
Any idea who the best bet would be for a defender under 5mil? Looking at Brunt and Jones. No idea who is better, but the fixtures are great for both. Jones is in a better team but Brunt is OOP and has some FK. Both look great, but I can only choose one now though.

I got Jones in quite early when he was 4.7 but i'll probably get rid soon. He only has 2 clean sheets in 8, only has 2 goals to his name in the premier league throughout his career and as hes in the middle and not playing full back has pretty minimal chance of an assist. Man utd have a bad habit of conceding odd goals i'll probably shift over to Brunt at least hes playing higher up and might chip in with an assist or a goal.
