Both at 5.5
Do you think Daley Blind will play regular as a DM this season? Is he taking the corner kicks? He is also able to make assists from the middle.
Shaw is a great defender and I like him as a Southampton fan. He may provide also assists from the wing. Maybe with Mourinho he will get the "Azpiliqueta role" and will play deep back on set pieces.
What do you guys think?
Blind over Shaw ?

Re: Blind over Shaw ?
Will Shaw not be rested for a game every so often after his injury last season ? Or that could just be in the Europe. Wouldn't pick blind over him though

Blind is one of the players rumoured to be on the list of players Mourinho wants to get rid of. He's not a Mourinho style centre-back and is also highly unlikely to get minutes as a DM, even more so if/when Pogba signs.

He played DM against Dortmund and centre-back against Wigan. Blind might be one of the few utility men Jose talked about having but, though its early days, you have to think Shaw is nailed.

Re: Blind over Shaw ?
no chance will Blind play above Shaw at LB, unless Shaw gets injured again he will play every week.
JM made a point of saying United needed specialists (in relation to player positions) in one his first interviews and there were too many utility players.
He's not one for needless rotation, especially in defence - DDG, Shaw, Bailly, look certs - Smalling probably favourite for the other centre back and right back is up for grabs.
If Blind stays he will be the squad utility man, the kind of role John O'Shea used to fill. And that would probably work well as he can cover 3 or 4 positions.
