Another loss for our national team today. It's almost two years since we last time won a qualification match, 1-0 against Faroe Islands in September 7th, 2015.

I think we should now focus on losing the remaining matches too in these qualifications, as it would probably guarantee a slot in UEFA Nations League D. It's a sweet league that effectively guarantees one slot in EURO2020 for one of the worst 16 national teams in Europe.

Currently we are just 17th worst national team (UEFA ranking 39). I hope either Azerbaijan or Estonia goes above us. This UEFA ranking 40 is generally acknowledged as a great sweet spot, as it both guarantees League D as well as Pot 4 in EURO2020 qualification draw.

In these WC2018 qualifications Azerbaijan will still play San Marino and Estonia will play Gibraltar. Let's see if they are bold enough to lose those matches in order to aim League D place.

Great victory for my Northern Ireland last night away against Azerbaijan. Scored right at the end too. They should have scored in the second half and we definitely struggled but stole it right at the end. Jonny Evans was superb, we also lost McAuley early on to a hamstring injury so had to change the system.

gazzetta.it says the italian ref gave a soft penalty for Kane 2-2 equaliser, and Varane's associated dismissal was harsh
no mention of VAR about that tho

Spurs fans are totally obsessed with Arsenal. I watched a lot of Spurs games since Christmas due to having 3 of their players in my FPL team, and in every game, most of their chants/songs were about Arsenal. They were playing some amazing football, looked at one stage that they could catch Chelsea in the league, and all they were focusing on was signing about Arsenal.
